Hi can anyone tell me when you get the results back from the ESA medical, i took my daughter on the 16th March and we have had nothing back, it seemed to be a waste of time and i am expecting to have to appeal, as my daugher at the age of 20 has had major ops in both eyes due to diabetes and has lost the majority of vision in both eyes she can only see big things and then only blurred she cannot read anything even in large print, yet the woman doing the medical only asked 2 questions re sight 1. could she see a bus, 2. how many fingers was she holding up, she did not seem interested in the fact she still had major surgery coming up and after that op she was more than likely to be registered blind, she seemed more interested in whether she could walk upstairs, could she dress herself and have a bath and could she feed herself.Jan lunch to work days 0/200

Hi
Nothing personal against you or daughter but i know what the outcome will be...you can still work even if totally blind (Blunkett did, plus Gordon Brown is not so well sighted).
When they can tell cancer patients like myself they are well enough to work against the Consultants/GP's wishes theres no hope unless we havn't a pulse:(0 -

On the RNIB site, it does say that if only disability is visual impairment, then it's likely that someone will go in the work related group.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I am sorry to hear that they have gone against your doctors wishes, i think they should do as the doctor wishes as they know you best, my daughter would like to go to work she is at the moment recovering from one op and due to have another one shortly, it was her consultant who told her to get a sick note for 6 months to get the ops out of the way, but as you said they obviously do not agree with the consultants. I hope you are on the road to recovery and are appealing about the decisionJan lunch to work days 0/200 -

It means more money, and a nice backdated payment to week thirteen! If he has not already started his JCP/ provider interviews, he will also be invited to attend a Pathways interview.Gone ... or have I?0 -

He's already has one interview with Pathways and his letter states his money goes up in May and after what you said I checked to see what his weeks are and he only up to week 7 and this explains why that date as it will be week 13 by then.
He'd already been on sick for 28 weeks previously.
He spend hours chasing up yesterday ringing up job centre+ and carers as he'd got carers allowance stopped said we weren't entitled to it but we know we don't get full allowance but about £28 of it so in the end got it sorted out and they have to back pay us 8 weeks of that.
You'd think they'd all talk to each other but the lack of communication is awful.2020 wins - Espire passes for Gatwick airport lounge0 -

Wow, I am very impressed at the speed of the medical. Some people end up on the assessment rate for a year!Gone ... or have I?0
