Yeah, that journalist who wrote about the end of R&R must be a relative of Sir Terry or part of his Old Boys' network. I wouldn't normally have thought Tesco would be the shop of choice for your average Telegraph reader, so there must be some connection.

And come to think of it, I have only ever had till-spits for the Telegraph...never any other Newspaper (even though I buy the Mail or other rags sometimes if they've got something like a nice £4 Book coupon in).

Slightly off-topic but in a similar vein, I posted on the Quit-kit thread yesterday that the Colgate coupon scans without buying ANY Colgate. I have only done it once so far and I DID buy Sensodyne....but I shall be testing it this coming week to see if it scans against non-toiletries or non-toothpaste.

My dd and ds found 142 worth of points over the weekend they defently have the wombling bug and can tell in a second if a reciept has points on!! And they enjoy it:j Plus they also got till spits of:
40 extra points for blueberries x 2
50 points for the telegraph
200 points any dvd or computer game
and 20 points for spending 1.20 on confectionary.
plus I got a 200 points for dvd,
and 50 points for always ultra freshelle
All from Bletchley Tescos and on the way home!!:D

my children are sick of tesco shopping and DD1 commented that I knew the staff far too well and was the male SA "one of my boys" LOL

Today i contacted Clubcard regarding a post made originally by Coupon-mad on the subject of not receiving any Till Spits ...

I have four cards ... two are from ages ago ... my partner and I had one each ... and two I opened in the last six months ... on these last two I have never received a till spit ... so today I rang and checked that I was willing to receive offers from Tesco ... and both were flagged as 'no offers'! ....

Now as I have opened these recently I would likely have been happy to receive offers ... and I cannot remember saying no! .... Maybe the wording on the Clubcard application makes you think that you are likely to receive phone calls etc as I was asked if I was willing to take part in Market Research ...

I would encourage therefore anybody who does not receive Till Spits to contact Clubcard as this may well be the reason ... their Freephone number is on the back of your cards ....

Hope this Helps somebody and Thank You Coupon' for pointing this out ...:p
