Time to get the big winter coats out.
Also, my proper winter gloves will be needed next week.

I officially have feet that feel like blocks of ice....oh and my car doors were frozen shut this morning! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

My feet are always cold. Always. Can't do anything to get them warm, save for throwing petrol on em & setting fire to the beggars.:(It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Mine tend to be a little chilly, even in the summer but they are so cold at the moment, my toes are numb.
Trying to persuade my cat to sit on my feet like my late older cat used to but he is not convinced and prefers to spead out in front of the halogen heater instead.
Eldest is really suffering though, his fingers are completely white all the time now, even indoors and wearing gloves and he couldn't get warm even before this cold snap but apparently that is part and parcel of his EDS and not a great deal can be done about it.We made it! Can you get someone to sit on them? My dogs are trained to sit on my feet and dh sits on them. even better if you can get someone to put them between their thighs:o I have such an obliging dh who lets me put cold feet between his legs in the middle of the night. Warm feet are heavenly partly because they are so elusive.:D0 -
Sue, what about these? http://www.heatpacksuk.co.uk/thermal-gloves/heated-work-gardening-glove.php .“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

For cold fingers and toes try these:

Thanks for that.
Those one are a little too bulky though as he needs to be able to use a pen whilst wearing them at school plus he needs to still use his thumb brace which would be awkward in a full glove (it dislocates whilst writing without it!).....but on looking further on the site, the heated fishing gloves are a possibility.
Silvercar - And something like that may work too!

I have to wear socks at night these days - oh, the shame! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I have to wear socks at night these days - oh, the shame!
i try wearing socks but I kick them off in the night. I actually managed to sleep in pjs last night, a miracle...they usually end up on the other side of the room as I fling them off in my sleep. I hate being tangled up in clothes.
The other sleeping alone tip is to sleep between two fleece blankets, between your sheets, fleece never gets as cold as the cotton and warms up quicker.....it just feels a little sordid for some reason, but when its cold I'm prepared to be sordid.0 -

I can't wear socks in bed. Actually, in bed I wear nothing, except a smile.:)lostinrates wrote: »i try wearing socks but I kick them off in the night. I'm prepared to be sordid anytime, anyplace, anywhere. Opportunity rarely knocks though...;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
