It's been really nice up here in sunny Scotland

Nice, nice? I am huddled in bed under a duvet and a throw. I even have my hot water bottle.

hey misskool, good to ''see'' you.

Cold? I've been in a t shirt most of today. I braved shorts (with thermal boots) outside earlier in the week. )

Not bad here today. Shorts would have been pushing it, but I was considering a barbecue at the weekend.

Mind you, I've barbecued on the back porch in a snow storm, so that doesn't say much. :(

I'm bored of being cold, anyone else?

Yes me. I want sunshine, and I want to stop feeling that everything is damp every time I go outside.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

thank you 1984, ood to see people on the nice people thread.

Ours really are family too. My doggy and the other doggy (clever's sister) are both a bit confused. sister is definietly a downstairs dog, (she was infact a kenne dog unti ast year) but tonight has been with me. we curled up downstairs for a cuddle and later she clamboued on to my bed (I felt the springs go) for a hug. Now there are ony two we'll have to rethink sleeping arrangments, honestly, another creature will not fit in this bed and the big dogs are biger than a person. even my d0g dog, a greyhound, can take up enuh room when she tries.

I know its warmer because my under the duvet cat has started sleeping with her head above the covers...like a human.

this week, until this afternoon, has been my very favourite weather of a, sunny, cool enough to get loads done, and dry for the ground. :) several times this week my breath has been caught by something beautiful. A notable one was a high bank of one of my east favourite plants, catoniaster (yuck, but don't know how to spell it. Men seem to like it) which, with the bright white sun on it looked, instead of a messy scrabby bank, like a row of cherry trees in blossom. I forgive it its ugliness f that moment of beauty.

Positively balmy down your end of the Solway.

Slightly more brisk at mine. Or at least it feels like it:(
