I wouldn't be upset if Webber took the title this year though.
Until "he" made that comment I was 80% sure he was male and 95% white and 95% between 30 and 50 years old. It's purely because you can tell a lot about someone by the books they read. Jelly has already confirmed age, so I was right on that. I have met plenty of women that read the same types of books as jelly but mostly they are men, that's why my uncertainty was 20%. Then the comment made me put that at 5%. The people reading jelly's types of books are almost always white though, as they are about white people. I've yet to meet a black or asian person with an interest in Jack the Ripper, though I'm sure they exist, somewhere.
Be funny if I was an 80 year old rasafari woman eh?:D
'ere mi now...:DIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

 You sure you aren't a private dic.
It does help when you've seen an image of people that you can associate with them.0 -
Boutique hotels aren't all expensive, I stayed in one for £75 a night with a proper fry-up. Good value that
Most expensive place I've ever stayed in was about £30 and then I was really stuck and had to just go with it.It's just another way of saying the hotel has a theme instead of being a soulless box with the same furniture and all sorts. Generally, it's a small hotel which hasn't been purpose built into blocks. requires a bit of imagination and creativity.

Anyone aware of what to do with way too many cucumbers? I have heard there is something you can cook/bake, the basis of which is cucumbers. I can't figure out for the life of me what it is - other than putting them in salads/on sandwiches, I've always felt them to be a little inflexible in their use...
Tomato plants are easy to mourn for. I made green tomato and cucumber relish last year for sandwiches when I had a glut. Otherwise, my mum used to stir fry cucumbers with prawns and garlic. Rather tasty.
A quick pickle which can extend the life of cucumber by a few weeks. Make a saturated sugar/rice wine mix, slice up some chillies, dip sliced cucumbers in. Works really well with white cabbage too. It's not an everlasting pickle (think the acidity of rice vinegar is too low) but keeps a good month in the fridge.misskool, you talk about food as much as i think about it
I had some home made tablet yesterday :A
Course, once you start you cant stop
I'm obsessed about food. Eating, growing, cooking. I'm surprised I'm not a model for the pillsbury doughboy yetlostinrates wrote: »Bob Flowerdew does them with old tryes doesn't he? Overlapping the tyres so giving little planting spaces in the walls too, for strawberries or herbs. we're having similar issues. So mush expense. Sadly the ground we want to use for has a track running through and I suspect the surrounding area (under all the grass and weeds) is serious rocky and that raised beds would be a good ''cheat''. we are seriously considering taking down a barn wall, made of sleepers to further this end.
I would if it was me.We have finally given in to the new-fangled invention :rotfl: OH thinks we should garden in rows but since I do most of the work, he's accepting that maybe we can and he's going to help
We also have an immense slug and wireworm problem. we dug up lawn and wireworms finally hatched this year. Destroyed our entire potato crop, don't think we have a single potato without a hole.0 -

Aside from kinda proving a point I made Pastures, you most certainly ARE NOT useless. It is rare that you meet someone as quick witted, and often hilarious as you are! Your quips & remarks are frequently amongst the best on this forum.:)
Reading your postings, I wish I had the talents you have.
I hope I am your real friend Pastures.lostinrates wrote: »can't a male LJ be your friend instead? LJ wouldbe a very good RL friend I think.
Quite possibly the nicest thing anyone has said to me in some time.:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

See, I know you're a bloke and you know I'm female for that very reason. With jelly though, I will never know for sure. Unless I can persuade you all that a day out at Bletchley Park would be a good idea.
I'm definitely not a private detective though, or maybe I am, the library's a ruse and I'm not telling you lot;).Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
