I would be surprised if you didn't come in the top 10% on verbal aptitude tests, unlike me, you are good at language.

    You are too modest, tomterm!

Is that book any good? Am trying to tutor vr and maths currently and any 'miracle tips' much apreciated...

    Career change not going well.

I don't think I'm up to date with what you're doing careerwise, misskool or else I've forgotten. Sorry. :o I remember various plans you mentioned, but which did you decide to run with?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I like maths and often have to count on my feet. Hate English though.

@misskool Are we going to get the ability to embed you tube videos on our posts?

Can't work miracles but on the maths try asking her to explain things to you as (a) explaining aids understanding and remembering and (b) the methods you learnt at school really may have changed.

Also look for clues in the question eg "hence" means they are leading you on a path, so part (b) follows on from part (a) even if that isn't initially obvious.

On VR I did read you should only change your answer if you have a good reason to do so as you are more likely to be right first stab at a question as a second look and people only change answers because they doubt themselves.

Career change ... I've never had a career in the first place.

There seem to be people that have careers - and people that have jobs. I've always had jobs... first/any job I can get when the last one finishes, because I need the money to pay my bills because nobody else will pay them.

And, I don't understand this training lark. I've spent fortunes on training in the past, never been able to use it .... so how do people know that when they take time and spend thousands on retraining, that there will be jobs there and that they'll get them?

All sounds way too risky to me.

I wouldn't know how to pick something in the first place.

    ;)

I think, in cases such as these, it's best to apply rule 33.

Or was that rule 34 (goes away to google), no, definitely rule 33. :)
