Well, I'm writing for the residual income, the winnings were a bonus. 20% of my scribblings make £20-100/hour, with no end to the residual part continuing to yield.

But, if I were writing and that $50 was all I got for it, it'd be about £1/hour probably.

    Sounds a good wage.

What about the other 80% of your 'scribblings' (hope that doesn't sound rude, just quoting your term)?

From what PN says, they'd earn less, but the average is £10 an hour.

Personally, the thing that surprises me a little is that PN doesn't seem to do products herself... because, I always thought the most money was in selling products, rather than advertising revenue.

Selling products ... if you mean ebooks, isn't something I'm interested in. Most of it's a bit shabby, if you know what I mean.

There are so many out there, so many new learning curves, I specialise in what I can do and enjoy.

Is this a thread for people to introduce themselves?

Could be....However, what you've just done isn't introducing yourself.

We are all multi-dimensional beings, and this thread is where we allow every dimension, except our attitude to house prices, to be gradually revealed.

It's a slow process; a bit like the Dance of the Seven Veils.

Anyway, I'm Dave, and I'm a bit of a farmer, though which bit I'm not entirely sure. :o

Would you like to try again? :)

No, I mean selling real products. If you can get a reasonable position on the right target phrases for a niche product such as, say, vacume cleaner filters, nail varnish remover, bike repair kits, or those weird furry things you put on hot water bottles, instead of using an affiliate marketing scheme you buy the products from a wholesaler and sell the products from your website.

Is this a thread for people to introduce themselves? Well hello I am the MadnessOfHPC. I am named after the mentality of a not-so-famous website that is trying to initiate a sickening housing and economic crisis in the United Kingdom and throughout the World. I WILL NOT LET THIS HAPPEN as it is my mission to out the hpc vultures who infect this website with their puerile propaganda along with campaigns in Mumsnet, Expats forum, SinginPig, and the fantastic Channel4 Housing forum.

I appreciate your support in righting these wrong people.

Why bother, when eating chocolate is more fun?

I would be surprised if you didn't come in the top 10% on verbal aptitude tests, unlike me, you are good at language.

As davesnave has inferred, we'd urgently love to hear your views on chocolate, Johnny Depp, allotments, and all the really important things in life.

House prices are quite fun, yes.

But there has to be a bit more to you than that, surely.

    EDIT:

Mumsnet? I read mumsnet sometimes. Have they been talking about house prices there, too? Excellent place.
