I am now on the verge of collapse, mental and physical. Tried to get a printer cartridge, no joy. They don't exist, printer's too old - special order.

PC's on its last legs with the files I am trying to use, and needs rebooting every hour or so.

    Still not finished either.....

Pastures, have you considered roles in desktop or application support?

You seem the ideal candidate for this type of work.
So, would I consider taking a role doing a job I did 15 years ago, when I did apps support, helpdesk, was helpdesk manager and operations manager, before I then moved onto project management.

The short answer is, I would - but they wouldn't have me.

Technology/things have moved on now and I don't have the experience/skills they'd expect somebody to have. I'd be up against people who have "stuff", or experience in stuff that simply wasn't invented 15 years ago - so the employers would put me to the back of the queue.

And .... there are no such jobs within 100 miles of me.

Can you not shove it all onto a memory stick and go get it printed at the college?

It all sounds unbeliveably complicated to me and I got lost half through reading the spec :o but good luck with it.

there are other smaller programmes but it depends what you are using the mindmap for. If it's just a blank note idea thing then you can just use the word feature in draw. Unless you're linking and back linking and creating notes for lots of ideas, it's a long time to download something for not much more than drawing some speech captions around some text.

I don't find mindmaps useful or helpful. I'm a list person. So it doesn't work for everyone.

And on a side note, green tomato chutney anyone? :(
I've never heard of mind maps either...I will mug up on it late tonight with Tomterms link. :o

For goodness sake! Ring in and ask for an extension.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I did that in the end :)
All done and over .... now I can forget it ever existed.

    Bliss.

Yeah, don't go on courses that are badly put together, poorly structured (cobbled together out of random bits of other courses), without any framework ... and 20 miles away.

I am finding it extremely difficult to take discussions on House Prices seriously.

I'll try talking about something I (and many others) have interest in, food.

I've recently stopped consuming red meat. It can lead to inflammation and cancer.

What foods do you avoid consuming and why?

Sadly, very sadly, chocolate has started to give me headaches. :(
