Cool! In a good sense I assume, not because of crimewatch or anything?;)

    Is he proud?

Um not crimewatch, but not great. A wee jibe, but it made us laugh a little, its not bad its just mad. So, neither good nor bad, but a little amusing. DH is going to keep the paper. Proud? I think he rather naughtily might be.

I've been browsing through these courgette convos- first year I've tried them- mine are only about 8-10 cm tall and no sign of flowers - do I have a useless bath? :( |< note blame the seeds not my gardening skills :D

Everything else looking good though so shouldn't complain :)

The test is to see whether he buys a frame...:D

I don't think so. That said, I've never grown them before either!:) I've planted them out into the soil. The seeds grew really quickly (I thought) in the pots. The planys aren't tall, but are spread out & have HUGE leaves. I think there may be flowers, if they are, they haven't opened yet.

I've only recently got my first tomato flowers though...

My beans (forgot about them earlier!:D) have really started climbing up the frame I built for them.

The flowers that have (finally) appeared are in my hanging basket. I am really looking forward to a colourful garden this summer, with the greens, the red flowers of the beans, the yellow on the tomatoes & especially on the cucumbers, & all the other colours.:)

Oh dear, the leaves aren't that big.... I hope they are the courgettes, I let the kids do most of the planting :rotfl:I have other mystery tubs that they forgot to put labels in- thought they were pumpkins- maybe not?! Also a big-like size of a penny- brown bean/ seed that has grown leaves similar to the 'suspected' courgettes! .....And a big chive/ leek thing sticking out of a pot which shoudn't be there

Ihave NO tomato flowers yet either! Do have loads of big (green) stawbs though :A

Just emptied the drain filter (well once I found out where it was! Told you hubby always did things like that) and the crap that came out of that was amazing.....I'm richer by nearly £2!

I was prepared though for the gush of water, thankfully I had read the next section down in the guide I was looking at online, or I would have got slightly wet.

Middle son is very out of sorts these last few days, one thing I didn't mention on this thread, is that he dislocated his little finger at the boot sale and the feelings of pain etc he experiences, is very hard for him to cope with and it comes out as anger as he can't understand it. So now I have a exam/diagnosis stressed eldest, a pain stressed aspergic middle and a getting more stressed by the minute complex autistic youngest.

Eldest is also not pleased with me, he doesn't want me applying for the job at the school as he thinks I am doing it to spy on him, personally, I think he is embarrassed by me.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

How funny - my DDs would love me to work at their school - difference a few years make I suspect! - growing up is the point when mum becomes embarrasing instead of cool... :(

    Has that fixed the leak?

We went through this. One of youngest's friend said I should run the maths drop-in at his school; youngest was enraged that I should be seen at his school. How embarrasing. I reminded him that two years previously he was always nagging me to volunteer for all the we-need-a-parent-to-help things going. Now he won't even go out for a coffee with me. Eldest on the other hand (now 20:eek:) is happy to be seen out with me, as long as I'm paying. He's just warned me that I might not like his haircut (he's home from uni this week); so maybe it will be me saying I won't be seen out with him!

    Back to our gardening convo.

Parsley and mint have coped with the transition from pot to garden, though family have to keep being reminded to leave enough mint for it to grow.

I had ordered what I thought was a great freebie, Times subscription offer of 6 free fuschias, just pay a fiver postage. I expected pots to arrive. What arrived were mini pots, an inch in diameter, a few leaves on little stalks. With instructions for potting up, re-potting, taking in and out........yawn.
So I just planted them, with lots of compost, fushia food and put plastic bottles over the top. Probably breaking all the rules, but they were meant to be hardy, as opposed to grow into hardys. Sink or swim.
Advice needed. youngest tells me that the plastic bottles need holes in them, to let the air in, oxygen escape or some such. I reminded him that my biology exam was 30 years not 2 weeks. Is he right?

I leave tops off ...when I remember silvercar. My theory is that a little rain might get through the top and help water.

My knee feels MUCH better this morning. I'm taking the lawn mower in for repairs, and as it turns out, the pressure washer. I never did pack those boxes yesterday, so that's a job for today too. :)

Its a beautiful, beautiful day...but that wind is sharp!
