I now bribe one of the kids to grate a bar of cheapo soap (13p for 3 in ASDA) and keep it in a pot. A small amount added to a hot wash is just as good as Gloop - add a little washing soda if clothes are dirty as opposed to just needing to be freshened up. The soap doesn't melt in a cold wash so I melt it in a little boiled water before using.

In a way, its quite cool it hurts, last year I wouldn't have been able to eel it, so would have kept inflicting damage on it. The only serious thing I might do today is clean the car. Everything else, apart from hanging a wash out, will wait til tomorrow. Or I have some fruit boxes I can shove some more books into without moving around too much.

I suppose that is one good thing and a pointer that things are healing.
I use Surf small and mighty, only because our local shop has had an offer on it, £3 for a very large bottle capable of 42 washes....I stocked up :rotfl:
Ok, eldest has had a proper look behind the machine now, he too can't see any loose pipes so maybe a split pipe? Is that possible (she says clutching at straws in the hope I don't need a new washing machine). We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

A she.
Singlesue, could be a leaky pipe inside the machineor a blocked pipe, causing the water to escape eslewhere.

I'm going to try and do without bio washing powder you see, on the new tank. I use bio washing powder A LOT, for the dogs' washing.0 -

When did the water pour out? Was it when it was filling, emptying (is that spelt right?) or whilst it was actually washing?0 -

When it was emptying after a rinse....it had been fine earlier on in the wash, it was only towards the end of the wash that the problem occured.
Thankfully it is a model which uses the least amount of water compared to other machines, so although it sounded awful, the amount of water was not amazingly huge (although it seemed like it at the time!), it certainly wasn't flood the kitchen amount...it was the splashing as it hit the floor which made it sound worse. We made it! That is what is worrying me....that usually means money. As I said though, I can't really complain, it has lasted over 7 years and is in constant use, so it has done well.We made it!
