I only ever played brag once.

My very mild mannered grand-dad (who's bowls I use) went

I was told off severely for indulging in gambling.:naughty:

    You are so cute.

What kind of day out do you fancy?

The city kind where you get all poshed up and do lettuce leaves for lunch?

Or the one where you stick a pin in a map and just see what the day brings?

I always quite liked petanque....haven't played for years though.
I can understand how it makes you feel.
Swimming does it for me....the whoosh and just hearing the bubbles wipes out all my stress....and the endorphin high after is handy too.

I have always intended to purchase a petanque set. They can be expensive, though I saw a set in The Works/Booksale once for a tenner. I was skint at the time. When I went back, they'd (unsuprisingly) sold out...:(

Heck lj, if ws and I ever met you we'd run rings round you. While you were learning bowls, I was learning how to run a card den, target shooting and bare knuckle boxing. I sense ws is not dissimilar.

    You're making me blush...:o

Definitely seeing what the day brings. I don't scrub up too well anyway...:D

The only lettuce taking my fancy is the one I'm growing...

I like to think that my street-wise-ness is from a different perspective.:D

I am quite naieve at times though...:o

That is balanced by my cynicalness (is that a word?)

LJ: A day out at the races? You can get in for free with tesco vouchers and they're great for people watching. :)

LIR: good luck for the move and we shall hope to hear from you soon and wish you well.

I've spent 2 lovely days in the garden and weeded nettles from the raspberry cane and found a gooseberry bush with berries. twas most exciting. The first courgette flower is about to open and I have tomatoes. Now to figure out how to get a cheap holiday.

ETA going to the gee-gees is possibly not my thing. I don't gamble, & hardly ever drink, so less sure it'd be for me.

misskool I don't know whether to be relieved that you've sorted out your nettles ;) or annoyed that you have courgette flowers!

I have courgettes, tomatoes, cucumbers and even hanging baskets on the go & not a flower in sight anywhere!

I had been blaming it on the winter being stretched out. The fact that everyone except me has something flowering is kinda inhibiting my theory!:D

I have a garden. TBH it is the reason I bought this house. Which was a mistake. The brat hates this house and informs me it doesn't feel like home.

We have been here for seven years now.

She doesn't like the dog much either.

LJ, you are doing the car thing, how do you feel about walking?

    Hadrians wall.

    You ever been?
