Assignment completed and submitted...not my best work because of circumstances but at least it is in!

Feel a lot happier now, I do so hate things being late.

Well I surprised myself again...assignment has been marked in record time and I only dropped 2% on what I got on my assignment before and a very decent mark indeed.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

IM, our big hospital give a parking permit for parents staying with their sick children...you do have to pay £5.20 (4 hours parking) and they will give you a permit for 3 days or £7.80 and you get a oermit for a week.

Could you investigate to see if they do similar at yours?

When I get the permit, I am allowed to move the car, nip home etc and the permit is still valid.

If they do, it could be a big help to you.

I have a camera, I just can't get pics from the camera to the laptop. its not being recognized by the computer.....

If it is a card with more than 2 gigs of memory it may not be recognised; the newer SDHC cards generally aren't.

But there's a work-around if you stick one of these in your USB socket:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0028B0XUG/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000VY80AM&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0Q2KFCDY0QF52CPY6CB0

Probably get one in Comet, PC World, or wherever, for a fiver.

That's if your problem is a newer, high capacity card, of course...:)

I'd have to go to the Awful Vile town....I'm guessing you know the local nicknames...and its too far ATM.

Nipped out this morning for some odds and ends to bake cake....and came back within 40 mins to find 5 chicks skating around the kitchen floor. Going out later....I'll need welllies to get back in to the kitchen I daresay. The floor has never been cleaned so often, and that's saying something!

edit: right been out and all the chicks stayed put!

    Had a great time...was told I look about 26!

IM, a lot of hospitals have chits they can use to allow you to park for free, if a deserving case... if you ask really nicely, they might even allow you to park on the staff carpark?

I think I work next to the hospital where IM's daughter is (IM - its the big glass box behind the hospital, you'd know if you've seen it), and I don't think there is a staff carpark as such?

IM- I'm glad you found a helpful traffic warden, and hope that your new permit comes soon.
Also thinking of your daughter x

Not sure.... 1993 Subaru Impreza? Maybe a bit small...BMW 5 series?

I am no good on cars.:(

I once had a part-share in a left hand drive Reliant Robin....I also had a mate in the 60s who used to buy up classic cars and then abuse them. My favourite was a Humber Super Snipe like this:

It was a more tasteful shade of gold though. He would get a crate of beer and we'd cruise around town in it. Unfortunately, it ended its days upside down on the Barnstaple to Ilfracombe railway line, as it was very bad at cornering, but my friend only suffered a broken collar bone & his girlfriend was OK.

I don't think the Queen votes, but I'll bet she's been in one of these.:)

No :), I think theyre a very good choice, I can see both might well symbolise the iconic car of the year/ decade or whatever. I don't personally like the scoobs, might change my mind if I had driven one of course, but the 5 series I would go for. The peugeot 205 gti I reckon are iconic of the early 90s, but hardly detective inspector grade :rotfl:. Vauxhall Senator maybe, traffic cars, proper wolves in sheeps

As for 2003/ the noughties, I think I must have completely lost interest in cars by this point, as can think of none

thats lovely. went to beauli (sp?) couple weeks ago it was a great day, really fascinating.

car like that (you know similar americanised shape, split windscreen) used to drive around here in blue, purple and red with gold flames all over it- think it was supposed to be from a stephen king book or something- it did look incredibly scary

I've not caught up with 2004 cars yet. Mine tend to be at least 8 years old when I get them.:o

I like Beaulieu - used to take 60 or 70 school kids there most years and they'd usually lay on something good for us. Buckler's Hard, just down the road, is good too: lots of role play by the staff to confuse the historically challenged youngster. After two hours in there, some of 'em came to believe they'd stepped into some kind of time warp.....:rotfl:

One year, we met Cliff Richard there, making a video. It was very educational, watching that, so we just parked ourselves on the grass and let him get on with it. I think he was relieved that our kids were tame & quiet, so he did autographs for them at the end. He wasn't a great personality, but he did his best, and he seemed unconcerned that some of them promptly ate his signature......but it was the punk era.;)

God, I'm going back a bit tonight!
