Nice People, does anyone know what that music is that Sky News are using to herald some football thingy in May? I'd like to listen to it all.

well, out of nowhere a house we quite like but not for us (no land) has dropped...er..percentages..um, 37.5% . it takes us well into comfortable domestic mortgage but means the horses would have to go into livery, and no new young'un for us. its in a very popular area and needs some tlc.....can I see myself as a property ladder person? At almost 40% off original valuation for it in the bad condition then maybe it would be worth it?0

I'd be suspicious that there was a reason for the sudden drop - bad survey? flood risk?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I think the survey will be atrocious.
Its in a place were houses go for silly, silly money, and very lovely but its not going to be a quiet destination....near a tourist site. I think it was thought it would be a second home project for someone, and someones are less able to take second home projects.
Certainly not flood risk though.
Incidentally this wii fit thing is more fun when there are two players. I've even found how to make it a little bit less like ''family'' fun.0 -
You know we're on page 101 already.
We only started this thread 5 minutes ago (it feels like) as we'd gone over 100 pages in the last one.
Does this mean it's already time for a new one?
BTW, happy Saturday to everyone - Bank Holiday Saturdays are so lovely and relaxed... (stretch and yawn smilie).0 -
OK, yesterdays flipping house is a no go. I think its a great litle earner for someone, but not us. I stand by my previous conviction that that sort of thing is not for me.
But we have two on the table today....
Properties really are like buses.
Neither is perfect..its still the last one I was on about and another one, which would push us because a condition of sale is to proceed with some works...which would push the budget, but.....what the hell....!0
