Well my crash down to earth came and rather spectacularly last night...not bad for me, over a week at heightened crisis energy levels.

It was a very simple thing that made me break, some antibacterial spray leaked in my pocket onto my phone and the screen of my phone decided it didn't particularly like antibacterial spray and went into a huff..that then sent me into a real stress out/panic thing where I burnt the pizza for tea and then I just dissolved in tears on the floor.

Feeling completely washed out and exhausted today and desperately trying to stave off a migraine until I get my assignment typed up and submitted but at least the pressure is off a bit with my parents...dad is doing well although needs constant supervision or he gets into mischief and mum actually got in the car and drove to the shop today but things are settling down and I am not being relied on so much now.

As for nice people - I and my family have experienced extreme kindness from those involved in this thread.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Oh Sue. That "cope with crisis and then dissolve in tears on floor over comparatively small thing" deal - been there, done that, many times. The adrenaline has to wear off sooner or later.

You have been magnificent. I have no idea how you have managed to help your parents at all, given the responsibility you have for your boys all the time. Tell yourself the tears are just exhaustion and isolation, get some sleep, and remember that we think you're amazing to do what you do.

PS LemonJelly - have I missed when you told us what job you do, or is that as closely guarded a secret as your gender?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

    Seconded, thirded and fourthed. :)

Have a good rest Sue, and give yourself a big hug from all of us...or does that sound weird? :)

    Hehe not weird at all!

Well 1569 words down, another 631 to go.....it's all written out but just needs typing up in Word, read through and make edits, read through again and probably make more edits and then read through a third time with some more edits and then maybe, send electronically.

Migraine successfully staved off but it was touch and go there for a while...although head is still feeling woozy so maybe only a temp stave.

Certainly is! Now typed up 1910 words with less than 200 to go and over a page of A4 paper of words to go.....think I may need to cut a few.

Oooppss...can't count, less than 300 not less than 200.

Assignment completed and submitted...not my best work because of circumstances but at least it is in!

Feel a lot happier now, I do so hate things being late.
