Just tried googling Brera, first in your list, lir, and all I got was a car! Apparently it's a new model. :p

I'll try aother one and see if I get any luckier. :)

Shhh, don't want to mention that...

As cheap as possible, but I'll pay for a lovely hotel say. I'd rather not spend loads on travel, but hopefully as it's not school holiday time, we can find a cheap flight/train and just be paying for a hotel room for a couple of nights.

Sorry, Brera and Navigli are parts of Milan....I think you can do more romantic if its a city you've already been too....if you do go to milan stay in one of those two areas, probably the former, and I'll give you a restaurant list. ;)

We found a half price deal on lastminute.com last year. Proper holiday and not last minute, was half the price that the ABTA bonded compnay were selling it for.

I would say that, with only a weekend to play with, you want to limit the travelling time as much as poss. So eurostar or luton/ stansted. See what flights are available and take it from there.

We always holiday in Spain as my parents-in-law retired there, and will be again this summer, so Spain or its islands are about the one place I'm not considering. Not because they're not lovely - they are - just because it would be nice to go somewhere different...

    How's the house-moving going?
