Oooh, you did well. I think our best 'sell' was our old, knackered rusty car - just v glad anyone wanted it. :)

One of my best buys was my old, stroppy and sometimes annoying car.....nearly 3 years and 20k+ miles down the line and it's still going!

    Cost me £461.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I had an old set of china, well used. The effort in listing each piece would have been a nightmare so I emailed some of the business sellers on ebay who seemed to specialise in discontinued china. One offered me £50, came to my house and wrapped it themselves. Considering that we were given it in 1986, it must have cost less than that new, and we had had 20+ years use out of it.

Our very first purchase on ebay ever was a car - we were terrified, but had had no luck trying to find one locally. We bought it off some small garage in Somerset, I think - v good price.

Sadly, we then duly knackered it - it's the same one we flogged as described above. :o

And have been hooked on ebay ever since. :)

Thrill me with tales of your exciting Easter weekends.

I'm...marking. V v dull. OH off work for about a week, so is trying to keep the kids out of my hair. Except he's nursing a cold. All v v dull.

Liven up my (guilty) breaks from marking by telling me all the thrillingly exciting things you've been doing.

(And they are exciting, believe me. Compared to marking the same essays 300+ times, anything is exciting.)

I must be the last person on the fleabay bandwagon.

I may very well start to give stuff away to the people who ask the funniest questions.

    It is really entertaining:j

Sorry, that should have read "man flu". Not just a cold. Oh no.

Painting, painting and a bit more painting. Had a small chocolate egg today though, which was nice.

I always just assumed that teachers know whether you're an A, B, C etc. student pretty early on and then just give you that grade for each piece of work from that point forward?

Goodness gracious - I'm up to 4 years as of last month.

    Didn't it go fast?

The big question - have I saved more money on here in tips than I've wasted in time spent gossiping?

On second thoughts, don't answer that one. :D

Mine has been a little stressful.

Youngest brewing some kind of chest thing, peak flows started going down last night, horrendous night over night with umpteem checks of his peak flow, administering his puffers, calls to the doctors on call for advice before he finally dropped off to sleep (and me into a sort of half sleep)

Peak flows this morning very depressed, more than 40% off normal and I was on the verge of taking him up to the big hospital as I was starting to feel in a panic and out of control when the steroid boost we introduce when he is bad, finally started to kick in and his peak flows started to gradually improve away from the real bad danger zone to the just keep a watch/almost safe zone.

Apart from that, a nice roast dinner (special offer £4 a joint of beef from Morrisons), a quick visit to my parents and then had the choice of A Touch of Frost or Jonathon Creek...I chose a Touch of Frost.
