Look at the original loan agreement and that will confirm the amount of PPI - bear in mind you get this from your copy or the SAR copy of agreement, s.78 (CCA Request) does not apply being you've cleared the account and it's paid off. :D

Don't have my copy of the agreement. I guess will just have to wait for the SAR!

its difficult to do the calculation without knowing what the original premium was,
most premiums are apprx usually between 20 and 25% of the original loan value. plus the interest.

so by adding the 382 to the rebate you get a good figure back.

8% simple on 382 would equate to approx £56.

i would wait to see what your sar says if you have the time to confirm the exact cost of the premium, but either way i can't imagine it would be much more that the rebate you have been given already plus the offer they have now made.
I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free

    Hi folks,

    How's everyone doing?

Need some more help with bleeding Natwest, after Royal Mail screwed up with the initial SARs reply that I had sent, I sent off another copy of SARs reply over a month ago but Natwest still haven't responded to it - should I make an official complaint to the ICO?

According to RM, NW definitely got the letter but are still to bank the cheque. The SARs thing has been dragging on for months now. It is really annoying, tempted to just accept the cash that I have been offered - any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Hiya.;)

Yes with it being over a month, I would say its the right time to contact the ICO.

They have been given ample time to deal with it, good luck.;)
