My Partner had a bad experience with Next, she had an incorrect credit default place on her credit file.(Which was later corrected and she was compensated for).So when she tried to make buy an item on her Next account they declined saying all her credit was now frozen.
This was now the time we new of the incorrect credit default,so she contacted Next to explain again they where rude, unhelpful and uninterested. So i wrote a letter of explantion with proof of the incorrect credit default to one the directors, explaining i new why they did this but there decision was based on incorrect infomation. Now this is where the customer team come in, very helpful, not like there call centre staff.Re-opened the account doubled the credit limit but we refused paid the account off in full and closed the account due to one particular member of staff who treated my partner like ####. If you feel as angry as i did about your treatment i would complain to one of there directors address is on the online website.

Your situation is not the same. They have not put incorrect data on the OP's credit file. The data was correct - she missed 3 payments.

hi my MIL has just died of terminal breast cancer and the nhs provided free of charge a hospital bed for their flat, a commode and a wheely zimmer frame thing (on loan). She also had a lot of help from a local hospice charity that came everyday to the flat. Oh and this was in Stratford if it helps. There was also a live in carer and i have a feeling that this was also free but that maybe could be because she literally only had days/weeks to live

Yes I am aware of your point.

I was trying to point out in my post, that generally imo they are unhelpful if you ring them, hence why if she still is not happy and being in her view treated unfairly or she feels she has an explantion for the mistake she could try their Directors team like we did then at least you get through to some helpfull Next staff not their call centre staff, who i say again can be very rude and disrespectful to thier customers imo.

I am not doubting your story at all, but companies must be fed the 'hard luck story' all the time in order to get around missed/late payments, so you may be feeling hard done by, but in reality you are just being treated the same as everyone else.

Regardless of the circumstances, you paid late, and they are punishing you for that the same as they would anyone else.

Hi, I just wanted to give an update & a thank you to those who showed consideration & compassion. I contacted Simon Wolfson (thank you for the link Shamac) but he is away on business & a colleague of his contacted me. This morning he phoned, we had a good conversation, he was extremely polite, understanding & in no doubt of my situation. He says, by tomorrow, they will have everything sorted out for me.

I cannot describe the relief I feel, no more 8hr journeys! As I've discovered the benefit agencies work at a snails pace but now I'll hopefully have my mother home within a week. I have a downstairs utility room which is all plumbed & can quickly be converted into a bathroom, this will give her some dignity which I feel is important as her mind is fine, it's just her body that is damaged. I can't wait to see her face, my greatest fear was that she would take another stroke before I got her home.

Welshmoneylover - thank you & yes she has property to sell but again it is time.......

TheUnready - I agree, we are living in a "computer says no" world, we are in danger of rapidly losing human contact.

Soul6 19 - If I wanted to make up a "sob story" I would have done it exclusively to Next, why come on a forum to do it, what good would that do? I can think of better things to do with my time than write works of fiction on random internet sites. As for "people are to quick to believe a sob story" I think I have clearly demonstrated that is most definitely not the case, in fact the complete opposite. (You must have missed my post where I told Next I could provide documentary evidence).

Thank you Geri 965 for your comassion.

Many thanks everyone, & I guess a belated (& fought hard for) thanks to Next
