Just a thought, It may just be because of the extremely high ambient temperature.
You need to try and open the door as little as possible. Every time you open the door the temp drops and the fridge/freezer has to work harder to cool everything down thus making it less efficient. If you fill it with warm stuff, it will also take longer to cool down. If your freezer is working OK but the fridge is a little iffy, this could be the reason...presumably you don't open the freezer door 50 times a day like you would the fridge?
Alternatively it might be something grossly mechanical which I can't help you with i'm afraid!Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

We've just got rid of our Candy fridge-freezer and bought a Beko one, for this very reason. Every time the weather got a little warmer I'd have to turn the fridge up and up to cope, until eventually the fridge was at its highest setting and still wasn't very cold although the freezer was fine! It was only 2-3 years old. We've just bought a Beko one and the difference is dramatic. I've only had to turn the Beko up slightly during this hot weather and it's lovely and cold inside. When we had the Candy one I often had to throw meat, cheese or milk out because it had gone off. I do wonder if it's a general problem with Candy fridge freezers. It's certainly put me off by anything else made by them!!0 -
my fridge isnt very cold at the mo, which is surprising given the amount of ice that is at the back!
I understand ALOT more than I care to let on

I have been having a nightmare with my almost 3 year old Zanussi fridge freezer too. Started off with the fridge not staying cold and then all the alarms on it flashing.
Paid an engineer £50 to come out and tell me to defrost it and leave it switched off for at least 24 hours - I lost all the food in the fridge and freezer as there was no where to store it.
He said that if it started working again and continued working beyond 3 weeks then it would be fine. If not, then the compressor had gone and it was beyond economic repair. It lasted 3 days
I have contacted Zanussi about it and they admitted there was a problem with my model and offered me a 'substantial' discount on another fridge freezer or a larger larder fridge - both of which I could have bought cheaper online anyway!
I then went to Consumer Direct who told me to write to Curry's where I bought the darned thing from, giving them seven days to reply (had to state it in the letter). They didn't reply so I again contacted CD and they have now handed it over to Trading Standards. Yesterday I emailed everything i have sent to curry's to TS and they are now contacting Currys and letting them know the law.....
Have a read of this

I am not in Scotland but the law is the same in England and Wales too - you should get five years at least out of an appliance! hope this might help some of the rest of you - good luck :j0 -
Well I had my visit from a Baumatic service engineer who I must say was excellent. He didn't make me feel as if I was doing something wrong. He also had 26 years of experience and knew exactly what areas to zoom in on looking for the problem. He told me that I had a by-pass fault on the evaporator inside the fridge itself which was why my fridge wasn't getting cold but my freezer was okay. He also told me that it was impossible to repair as it was inside the unit and therefore a new one was needed. ( Imagine my surprise as it was only 8 weeks old). Anyhow, thereafter Baumatic took care of everything and I now have a new one delivered and installed yesterday by them. I just hope this one is okay..............0

Help please I have a Candy frost free fridge freezer, I have no instructions, the orange warning light started flashing what does this mean? When we had a warm spell I turned up the fridge as it didn't seem very cold, then it got colder and started freezing everything, cucumbers, tomatoes etc. So I turned it down to 1 and then it started flashing. Help please!0

You could try looking up the model number on the candy site they might have instructuions on there. Mine was caused by an accumilation of fluff under the freezer behind the air grid it was like a hoover bag! so just check that just in case its stopping air flow to the cooling systemThanx

Our Candy frost free fridge freezer has started clicking, accompanied by the green light flashing. It does this when the compressor tries to start up. My wife says it happens about the same time every day in the evening.
Up until today, turning it off for half an hour has cured the problem, but today it doesn't want to know.0
