Don't know; rumoured to be by sometime next year. O2/Telefonica networks abroad seem to have gone a bit faster, like O2 Czech and Mobistar in Spain ...
Edit - it happened on 1st February - those call tariffs for £10 monthly (see post #78 below)
About the Isle of Man SIMs - 0044 Callblue Geodesa Maxsim and Simazing are others than those listed above - the resellers have control of the tariffs, and there is quite a bit of variation of call prices and countries with free incoming calls (all have Europe though), and apart from that, all the charges went up about a month ago, so it is worth checking a few of them.
For any of them (IoM ones), 0871 callthrough numbers are a bit cheaper than calling mobiles on the SIMs own tariff, so it could be worth using it with callthrough providers from the MSE Callchecker0 -
Hi folks
I'm going to be in Estonia at the beginning of next month, so am wondering whether it's worth picking up a PP sim to use for roaming.
Anyone have any experience with OneRoam or can recommend a company to go for while I'm up the Baltics?0 -
The Oneroam SIM is Travelsim which has an Estonian number but seems to be marketed from Austria. The global SIMs tend not to be widely available in shops, so if you are thinking about that one, probably best to get one before you go.
Some of the Baltic networks have free roaming in neighbouring countries - I think Tele2 and I can't remember about Bité in Latvia/Lithuania
local SIMs info on tariffs and links to network sites at http://www.prepaidgsm.net/en/estonia.html0 -
drek, this looks rather like spam - you've posted exactly the same thing three times in this thread now, including yesterday evening
There are several IDs on this forum that almost always post about the products of only one company, make a point of saying how good their CS is, and slag off the call quality of rivals ...
There are plenty of brands of these IoM SIMs, and the different resellers have differing tariffs and T&C. That one does not have the cheapest tariffs; when it started it required top-ups every few months even if not used, and it still declares a £10 annual renewal fee that others do not have, which will cancel the SIM if the customer forgets it.
Mine on the other hand only needs to make or receive a call every six months, has never been topped up but has been used for about 800 minutes of calls. It has been transferred to a different agent as the first one now sells a different one, and this new one has fewer countries with free incoming calls but a lower tariff if I used it. If I was likely to go outside Europe, I'm told that I could ask to have it transferred to another agent.0 -
Drek ALWAYS seems to post the same thing (slightly changing words) and its not just on this thread. I always thought it was spam.
By the way, can anyone explain how these 'callback' companies work via the IoM sims? what kind of rate can one expect to call the uk landline/mobile from say spain? Any particular callback company better than the next?0 -

Call diversion on Orange is different - only diversion to landlines or Orange numbers comes from inclusive minutes. Other mobiles chargeable.
If you have O2 as well, use that - they include diversion to all mobiles. What's more, their 35p My Europe tariff is actually cheaper than using the IoM SIM straight to UK mobiles
I have just received my bill and call diversion worked as I guessed.
Calls diverted to Simply Travel's IoM sim were not charged separately, just took some inclusive minutes.
I am on Dolphin 35.0 -

Quote from http://www.0044.co.uk/global-sim-card.htm
:"Roam with just one SIM card!
The new Callblue International SIM is the best selling global roaming SIM card."
Err, forgive me, but how can it be both new & best selling?0 -
