AA service is now very poor. Some one smashed the back window of my sons car when he was parked in a multi storey. He came back found it smashed, couldnt open the boot to put anything over the window because chunks of glass in the lock. Thick snow outside and snow falling in the dark. Dont worry he thought, for the first time in 10 years membership Ill call the AA. They wouldnt come out. Said the car was still driveable so not covered. Fact that he had a smashed window that he couldnt cover in a blizzard made no difference. They dont open locked boots. Son pointed out that they were at that time running an ad which included an AA man going out to open the boot of car for a ventriloquist whose dummy was locked in said boot. There was just silence.
Afterwards son cancelled and is now with RAC. He sent a complaint to advertising standards and they told the AA to remove that scene from their advert!0 -
RAC don't appear to cover accident recovery anymore either, I wonder if anyone does?0

I've just had a look at Green Flag and their summary document says they'll recover the vehicle after an accident only if they don't need special equipment etc. If it does, they'll arrange it but it's not covered (presumably you could claim on your car insurance?)"There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. When it comes to history, it will be the people who broke the law for freedom that will be remembered and honoured." --Rt. Hon. Tony Benn0

Heh...in the T&Cs it looks like it's excluded though..."There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. When it comes to history, it will be the people who broke the law for freedom that will be remembered and honoured." --Rt. Hon. Tony Benn0

Can't believe anyone would buy a car with no spare and then complain about it.0

you've been on here long enough by now surely?...work permit granted!0 -
they wont open a locked boot if you have the keys in you hand and have access to the rest of the car.
best advice if you do have an accident is phone your insurance company who have an accident emergency number.0
