Can anyone recommend how they'd travel from Nottinghamshire (NG17) to Leicester Square tube station in London?
I need to get there at 9:30am tomorrow. Never travelled to London before.
Someone suggested parking at Luton Airport and then getting a train to London, but I wondered if anyone had any better ideas?0 -

Oops... just noticed that you have probably completed that trip.0 -
Not strictly a discount voucher, but if you've got Tesco vouchers you can treble them for rail travel with redspottedhanky.
Would post the link but I'm new here and it's blocking it. I found the link from the MSE main site anyway, just search for Tesco points offers.
Haven't used them, but it looks very good and if you have found the fare you want already it seems quick to use.0 -

From the Southern Railway website:
Bexhill->London Victoria via Haywards Heath, advance single on the 12.04 departure is currently £4.50
Then use Oyster on the Victoria Line to Finsbury Park. Change at Finsbury Park for the FCC service to Alexandra Palace. £3.20 (I think, the Oyster fares are a labyrinth now).0 -

If it's a return you're after then try the often overlooked Southern DaySave ticket - £12 for unlimited travel on all Southern services after 10am weekdays and all day weekends (with the following restriction Not between 16:45 and 19:15 Monday to Friday when boarding trains from East Croydon and London stations (Victoria, London Bridge and Clapham Junction)). Up to 4 people can travel together for £24 and up to 4 additional children can be added at £1 each to either the single or group ticket.
Must be ordered 7 days in advance from southernrailwaytickets.com/daysave
Marginally more expensive than 2 advance singles but more flexible about the trains you can catch and cheaper than the off peak day return.
Then use Oyster for the return from Victoria to Ally Pally or Wood Green.0 -
