Bruno, the expat organisations are great for mummies. I'm a member of one here and [STRIKE]it was at one of their events I met my husband[/STRIKE] I made loads of new friends once I had a Molly to take along. It makes shyness much easier, because people will talk about your little one and then when you're feeling a bit overwhelmed you can spend some time quietly talking to/playing with your kid - and then when you've had enough you can blame the baby and say you have to leave.

Yes I know, thanks! But at that price I'll happily store it for a while!

this morning has not been a good start ... i forgot to do a bottle before bed so he had to wait which meant a good hour of whingying and clinging to me which is why it took an hour but hes got milky and cuddles with sister so hes happy ...oh and i got peed on as i pick him up to take him downstairs and his nappy leaked so i got wet ...

the dog almost didnt make it outside so that was a mad dash ...

managed to hoover and tidy downstairs so that'll do for now ..

zoes got an eye test at 12 and im so not in the mood for it as theres a footie match on but needs to be done ..

Bahaahaaa Molly was practising Peekaboo with the blanket and chatting to her hands when we collected her from bed. She is now in her door bouncer and has managed to make her way to the shelves beside the door where she is chewing them with all her might.

AND I'VE JUST SEEN HOW SHE GOT THERE. She leaned, grabbed the support bar of the shelves, and then used the grip on the bar as balance while she walked over there. This is a scary week for us... perhaps we should start "walking child" proofing.

ETA: Sorry, I don't mean to be "that mum", it's just all so exciting for me. Sorry.

It is hard, but 3 days is not a lot really, when there are mums who have partners who work away, sometimes for weeks. At least she has only to clock watch until the evening and you often see to E in the night/morning/eve and plenty on days when you are at home....

I agree. It may be that you have to go down the nursery route first though, if there is still no/little improvement then you have some firm ground for pushing the other option:)

England shops don't all go 11-5 on Sundays and public holidays - it's something to do with big chain shops only or something. Not sure exactly how it works but for example my Sainsbury's Local is open 7am-11pm 7 days a week.
It is to do with how many square feet the store is...over something like 7000sq ft(random number because I forget the 'actual' number) they have to abide by the trading regulations...under that they can do what they like!

One of Elijah's regular things just now is, when ever he intends to do something naughty or which he thinks we may stop, he turns to us, waves and says "buh-bye mamma dadden", then assumes we have gone away and he can be sinful! :rolleyes:

Off to Hampstead Heath to meet my mum and get very wet and muddy once the cleaners turn up.

Kian seems pretty much 100% again. eye still a bit gluey but otherwise he's ok

hair turned out good. am pleased with it anyway.
