OH asked me earlier if I felt like I'd "missed out" on something - ie labour and all that comes with it. I honestly don't feel like I wish I'd done it.. I was fairly flippant about labour, kinda "cross that bridge when I come to it, baby's got to come out somehow - and in the meantime, think happy smiley thoughts" Don't have any desire to go through it next time neither :cool:

No, I got to 1cm before Katie was too stressed to carry on - I was given the choice to continue but I was risking a full blown emergency later on.

MDW i think its that silly thing in womans heads that makes them think that they have missed out, doesnt matter how your baby is born as long as your both healthy and happy and your a fab mummy would you try a vbac next time(sorry if thats nosey?)

Charlie was a twin until 6-8 weeks also, we were told we had lost him so i moved house and decorated and then found out he was still hanging in there. he definatly has the energy for 2!
right i need to go to bed night ladies xxx

Caz - the chances of a next time are very slim as I have PCOS and endured 8 years of fertility treatment to have Katie (she's a natural conception after a failed IVF cycle), so I sometimes feel throughly let down by my body, took ages to conceive and then could give birth 'normally'. But if the opportunity came up I would definitely go for a VBAC.

It's probably part of the reason I've bf so long it's the only thing my body has done easily and won't let her move out of our room.

MDW I had a c section then 2nd baby VBAC - giving birth naturally was a killer but pain short lived c section more painful long term. I'm pregnant again due in 6 weeks - they gave me the choice so i chose natural delivery as running around with 3 kids is much harder after a section. But if i need an emergency op again then so be it - the thing with a birthing plan is there is no birthing plan.
You have to do what is right for you at the time !
