I have no fear of men with machine guns, bizarrely - I'm much more afraid of the suity types with concealed weapons. What annoyed me was the Spanish people's total disregard for others over the whole trip. There was a pair of Spanish kids at the heated pool who we constantly told to leave Molly alone, and the boy was constantly splashing in her face. We told his mother and she told him off, but as soon as she sat down he was at it again and she just watched him. I told him that if he didn't stop it I'd wait till she went to the bar and drown him. He stopped. Then Molly and I got body-checked out of the way of one guy, and at the airport I asked this guy taking up three seats if I could sit down please and he just piled the stuff he had on the floor on the two seats around him. A little old lady tried to get up for us, but I couldn't take her seat, she clearly needed it more than we did.

Still, the sun was nice and it has given me a new appreciation for Munich, sorely needed.

Edit: Susan, telling me not to read back makes me want to set aside tomorrow to catch up on all 60+ pages :rotfl:

I completely agree with this! Aimee hasn't lost any teeth yet, she was 9 months before she got her first... She cut a back molar a few weeks ago...

I would have offered you the hair for your follically challenged daughter, but figured it's hard enough to wash mashed potato out of hair that's growing out of a head, let alone a baby toupe...

Teeth - Katie got her teeth in groups of 4 at 6 monthly intervals from the age of 10 months.

She got her front 4 first followed by 4 back teeth then the rest just kind of filled in. She has only just got her last 4 molars in the last couple of months.

I get really stressed when we're running late to the extent that I now tell DH we have to leave half an hour earlier than we need to in the hopes that we might be ready.

At least your pool was heated SS - ours was 'heated' - by the flaming sun :mad: It was the only reason I picked that blooming hotel.

I'm glad it isn't just me that gets stressed when there's an OH running late. It kills me - I go to so much trouble to organise things so we really have just to get up, eat something, roll through the shower and into our clothes and on our way. But I asked him to take out the rubbish the night before and he didn't, so that all needed to be done, during which time I was feeding Molly and he was checking his email and not taking out the damned rubbish, then it went out and Molly and I were packed and ready and he was dismantling his computer setup to pack it and I was bouncing off the walls because we were running so late. And then he forgot his driving licence, so no car rental for us...

Oh, I forgot - sparks flew out of the engine of the plane we landed in in Tenerife!!!

MFD, our travel rep said that pools can be called heated if they have a heating system, but if they're outdoor pools they're unlikely to be turned on. We mostly took Molly to the indoor pool, we went briefly into the outdoor pool twice because I was swimming in it and she seemed thoroughly outraged that she wasn't getting to join in. She did make some hilarious squealing sounds when she realised that brass monkeys were bobbing around in it clutching their crotches.
