Choppy - Jack hasnt got any teeth and he can bite food. I can give him a banana and he breaks bits off with his gums and eats them. He will also chew chicken strips and I can see them breaking up in his mouth - need to work on the eating with his mouth open :cool:

I've just scoffed an Easter Egg - I'll look like that bloke niddy posted but with pert boobs :rotfl:

Swimming - I took Caitlin for the first time on 16th September. I've just worked out she was 11 and a half weeks old. Crikey, that seems really young now. We've been, on average, once a week since then and she has picked up so much. For example, if we go to the side of the pool, she will hold on to the bar. She will also hold on to floats and try to grab toys that are floating in the pool. We go to lessons and, although the emphasis is on fun for the babies (and parents), everything is tailored to your baby learning what to do if they ever fall into water - for example, learning to grab and hold on to the nearest thing.

Tigs - Caitlin wasn't a premmie but she definitely weighed less when I first took her than Andrew does now. Caitlin wore (and still does) a TWF baby wrap. She's only just grown out of her 0-6 month one so 0-6 months would be fine for Andrew. New ones are about £10 inc postage. You may be able to get a second hand one from Ebay, as I've seen them quite a bit on there. ETA: very similar to the one that CSH linked to. Elle's post about the baby snug reminded me that she also wears a Happy Nappy on top of a Huggies swim nappy.

Hi Sugar - sounds like an eventful time!! Have you got the energy to tell us more?

Choppy- this sounds very similar to what we do. Liam will always go for the side and will hold on without needing me to hold his weight. We stared Oct/Nov so Liam would have been around 4 months

Not just yet... But we're up to 6

She's had the straggly bits trimmed off the back but nothing more than that... I did think today it's just starting to look a bit longer...

No, not at all. V never really liked proper mushed food and always preferred lumps/finger foods.

Between October and February, she only had the one bottom tooth and absolutely amazed me with what she could eat! Garlic bread or apple with one tooth must be hard work. :rotfl:

I think it just depends on the childs likes/dislikes.
My best RL friends little girl is 10 weeks older than V, and had at least 6 teeth before she was one. At her first birthday she was eating mush while V had a sandwich. *confused smiley*. If her mum fed her anything other than mush she'd do a strange face/noise like she was being choked, and spit it straight back out. (She's ok now btw!)

My Dad always called going to sleep, peeps or peepy's. I've no idea why, but I always say it now. Charlotte has started correcting me, and I say "come on, time for peeps now" and she'll say "no Mam, I'm going to sleep" :rotfl:

Dolly Chicken Eyes was called Dolly Geoffrey yesterday, but this evening she's changed her name to Dolly Sugar Camembert.

I do wonder what goes on in my child's head someimes
