I was just about to say 'is he about 6 weeks now' - he is isn't he? That is usually growth spurt territory. I like to think that they 'change' at 6 weekly intervals too - got me through the hard bits anyway ;)

The great thing about babies is that your work troubles fade when you are with them!! My boy is SO cute these days - shouting 'Hiya' and 'Boo' at everyone he sees and doing anything to make people laugh!! Work just pales into insignificance when he is around!!

God - I sound awful. £2660 is a decent amount of money, I just expected it to be more for some reason :o The whole work situation is just peeing me off big time. I am sat here reviewing papers for a meeting tomorrow morning for a bunch of civil servants who expect a fully committed service even though they won't show me any commitment in return :(

tbf: if it was me, I'd expect it to be more for 7 yrs too. Thats my monthly full time wage at the top, not exactly gonna go far! Do you pay tax and NI on redundancy?

Can we have a recent pic of E - I want to check that he is still as gorgeous and cute as he sounds!!

    PAH - £2660 - what a load of shoite.

Of course you may ;) ETA though I may struggle to link them... sec...

Hair getting a bit beyond a joke now, will really have to cut it soon :(

£2660 for 7.5 years feels pretty terrible to me... have been made redundant twice and narrowly avoided it again last year, even in the job where I had just under 12 month's service I still got a full month's salary. There were people with long tenure who did go in my current company last year who got £25k+. Sorry if that doesn't help in any way... £2660 is still awesome if you then manage to stay in gainful employment! It just isn't a lot if you are e.g. sole breadwinner and then unemployed for several months.

Thats just statutory maximum. Think indivdual companies would be higher. Most say a months salary for each year.

    ETA: Awwww, wee blondie!!

LOL - this extends to bumping his head against things (on purpose) to make you laugh, and spitting his water all over the place in a big raspberry - people can't help but laugh so he does it again and again *rolleyes*
