Wind is normal. Its only a problem if he can't bring it up or it hurts him. Its up to yourself on the teats.
Think all babies start off a feed like they've never been fed and then chill out when they realise its not going anywhere!

I'd just defrost sausages in the micro

Thats the problem, he sometimes taken 20 mins to get it up and it looks as though it hurts him so much, he cries his eyes out :(

How long would you put them in microwave for?

ETA thanks for all the sausage answers, I missed them all cos I opeened the page 10 mins ago then replied without refrehing lol

I had a fab remote control helicopter through from BizzieBaby for DSS to test - really pleased with it and DSS says he will write his own review!

MFD - we missed you. Now news here, no new teeth and no steps. :( I think Mel got one of those helicopters too.

Hi Bruno Missed you too. ;)

Glam I'm registering with Helion too. The training is a bit dull innit! :o

Can anyone answer the wind/vari flow/number 2 teat question?

Or the frozen sausauge question (google isnt bringing anything up)

I always swop straight to variflow teats as I find them much better. Means baby doesn't gulp/choke because they are able to control the flow of milk them selves.

Frozen sausages...I defrost all meat in the microwave, whether it was bought frozen or I have frozen it myself. I have just defrosted some chicken breasts half an hour ago which the kids are chomping in now.

    hth xx

Kindof if he seems quite distressed with the wind and is struggling to get it up, have you thought about some colic drops...I always found Dentinox colic drops brilliant and very easy to use as you just squeeze a dropper full into the bottle. You can actually see the air bubbles vanish from the bottle.

sorry, i didnt know you were being made redundant :(

It has been a long running thing. It has come later than expected and with additional complications but hey ho!

Actually, does anybody know how much notice they have to give me and how much I would get on a stat redundancy package for 7 years 6 months service?

We're good ta. Rhys has been a whingy so and so for the last 2-3wks and I was really not handling it well but I'm feeling better now (farming him out to Mum's helped for a few days break :o). Still no teeth (are we record beaters yet? when did B get his first?) but he has reached a whole stone in weight while you've been away :)

Oh, and we got a letter saying Rhys' blood results were "unremarkable" - were you here for that? - hurrah for being boring ;)

Talking of the 7th, I won't be here to hold the fort for a change... it's my first KIT day!! :(

Yay for reaching a stone :T and for being completely unremarkable ;)

B's first tooth was 8 months and 1 day. Chris was later - 11 months IIRC.

You know me - I am a firm believer in mummies needing time to be something other than mummies. And Grandparents need time to bond with babies too ;) My mum and dad were here last night whilst hubby and I went to see Les Mis :D

Hi :) just having a quick (lengthy) catch-up while singing nonsense at the boy to keep him distracted.

E is good, in vocabulary mode these last few weeks, easily 100+ words in use and absorbs more very casually (gave him some quiche at lunch, he says "diskit?" I say "no, quiche" he says "keeech" and then remembered when asking for "moh keeech" :)).

Clever E! moh keeech means something entirely different where I'm from!!!

Sorry to hear about your friend :( OH was in the same situation just before Christmas.
I was at a friends funeral 2 weeks ago and it was awful. He was only 28 and it was sudden. It really took everything out of me :(

Getting cleaners sounds like a good idea, a clean slate, no pun intended, to start again and try and keep on top of things!
