SM - I'll just say there is a BIG difference in getting engaged quickly because it feels right and getting engaged to the first guy that asks because you desperately want to be loved/feel wanted/have a father to your kids etc

I really believe you should ideally live together first and should be married before having kids but as we all know sometimes doing the 'wrong' thing isn't always a bad thing.

you're right you know ... i have heard that alot .. i just dont wanna be lonely anymore (wasnt there a song called that .. anyway) ..

you know its wierd and yes i am a wierdo for this .. i think marriage is a bigger step then kids .. i kow my kids will always be there they will always be my children and i will always be there mum .. but you never know that one man is always gonna be your husband x

I'm always right dontcha know :cool: I married Matt in part to make him mine forever. I believe in marriage and marriage is for life. If I didn't think we were going to be together forever I wouldn't have married him
Shame it seems like not many people go in to marriage thinking this nowadays though *sigh*

im a realist i know poop can happen and yes nowadays people think its just for the forseeable future or for the pretty dress which is definately the wrong reasons ... this is why i wouldnt .. not for along time anyway .. my aunt and uncle were together 15 years before they got married and they're happy (i think :rotfl:) x

I don't see marriage as the same scale of commitment as a house and kids.

Plenty of people are together long term/forever with kids who don't marry, and they're not any less commited just cos they don't have the certificate to say so.

Just IMO but err, i'm single so what do i know
