wow hes a BIG boy KOAG!! he is absolutly beautiful and looks like he has lovely skin
im so glad your home and feel happier! im away to look at your pics lol!!!
What's for you won't go past you0 -
Kindof, I love the photos, you can see him getting better as you look through them. He is gorgeous hun, well done!
About the boobs, you could use a breast shell to collect the drippy milk. I'd let him get the hang of feeding lying down till he is sure of it and also a bit more alert, then try some sitting up positions when he is not too hungry and is awake. Breast feeding is hard after a start like you have had, baby is always that little bit more tired and you are so worried that he gets enough etc. But it will happen just take your time and relax about it. There is no right or wrong ways at the moment, just go with what feels right.0 -
SS, we need pics! So your OH has accepted that Atilla the baby is totally in?0

Kindof I just saw your pics on FB. Elliot is just stunning, you must be over the moon.
On the BFing, you will find that the pouring milk from the other boobie settles down as your body realises how much milk Elliot needs. You could try Lilypadz http://www.lilypadzonline.co.uk/LilyPadz-FAQ-sp-1.html although the site says only to use once your milk has settled down. Other than that you could hold a small sterilised pot or bottle under it to catch it?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
aww Kindof he looks mahoosive in the incubator thingy but diddy in your arms and the carseat
What have you tried when attempting feeding sat up?, I found a C shaped feeding pillow (like widgey pillow) invaluable in the early days
Breast shells are handy for collectin milk from your 'other' boob while feeding just be aware they don't hold much and take a bit of practice to get them out of your bra without spilling0 -
hello NMS, this is nowt to do with what you've just written but I keep forgetting half way through a post that I want to ask you something :rotfl:
it's about the fairy exchange. I feel bad that I don't give away as much as others, mostly because I pretty quickly knew I'd need it all again for Kesterbut I do really want to be generous to my friends on here as you all have been to me. So I've been thinking about it, and realised that I've done photo retouching for people, and I know that's been helpful to different people on here. So I wondered if I could please offer that? I know it's a bit odd, but when you have a baby family really love to get photos but then it's really gutting if they have red-eye or a bogey or leftover weetabix :rotfl:
Anyway please have a think if a 'skills swap' could be counted as a part of it. Don't worry if not, I don't want to stretch things so far that it stops being what it's meant to be
Thanks lovely
Weezl - that's a lovely offer. I am happy for anything to be posted on the FE (within reason) so feel free to pop up a post - as long as you promise not to stress yourself out doing the photos for others when you should be hving lovely mummy cuddles
I think ours are the ones called small on the bibetta site, we've got one drk blue hawaiian and one light blue hawaiian. if that site is real (not look around it yet) then thats amazing value!!
Thin I'll order the small and see how we go. It's from mamonlineshop.com, but as GISI has said youc an pay bu paypal so I think it's worth a punt
ETA: KINDof - I've only skimmed because I should be getting us reeady for swimming - lovely pics, but I 'll pop back for a proper feed later. Well done huni and congrats on your little family0 -
Kindof, just another thought but have you got a decent pump? If you're doing a fair amount of expressing then it would be worth getting one I think. I have the Medela Mini Electric and it is fab:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

hey everyone.
im here to chat to scruffy -- hiya!
yeah, Katie is potty trained now. has been for about 2 months i would say! She did it herself really one sunday night; she was getting ready for the bath and she was rnning about naked for 5 mins and then all of a sudden, ran to her potty and did a wee! i took it as a sign she was ready and stayed in the next day and that was it really! Previous to that I had the potty sitting about for a good few months, jsut for her to be aware of it etc, so i was quite lucky with her!
and now she is in her own big girls bed, its all very scary!! lol. She still wears pullup nappies for bedtime, but am not worried about that just yet!
I have so much to be getting on with today, but alas, I am here and on facebook so far!!
Good to see how everyone is doing, Thanks for all the Paddys day wishes that I missed out on last week aswell!!Carla-Farla!!

Seconded! I had that one, upgraded to the double eventually but it was the best I tried. And I tried a lot of pumps.0 -
3 you should set up your own business
:D
I think we may be onto something here. I've just timed myself, and ironed 31 items of mine, OH, J & L in an hour. (not including undies/socks because some people think i'm weird for ironing those!), but it did include school uniforms and OH's uniform with the horrible stiff combats.
And I had the lappy perched on the ironing board so I could keep up with you lot.
I'm saving V's til the end, to see if they work out at half an item.
Beenie She's beautiful.
SS I forgot to say the fairies were fed redbull, and sent to Europe on Friday. I'm not sure how long they take to get to Germany?
Workinmummy Clever Alex!
Kindof He's absolutely gorgeous. How are you feeling now? I'm off to see if we're facebook friends. You should post a pic of him in the inci, next to one of a tiny baby! Is he wearing a newborn babygrow? He's filling them out already!
Weezl That's a lovely offer, and you're a lovely lady to be thinking of other people when you're obviously very busy!
How good are your skills, can you do professional airbrushing to make even me look beautiful. :rotfl:
Still on photos, does anyone know where I can get digital pics printed in black and white? I googled on Friday, but couldn't find anything. I've got a huge multi pic frame from Matalan, and the pics it came with are in black and white, and I think it looks good so want a pile of my favorite photos printed in b&w.:beer:0
