Might just have to go with a boring plane colour one, it's amazing how much though and research can go into a bib - I need a life!
Oh Jenny I've been meaning to tell NMS about those bibetta bibs for a few days but kept forgetting
I've got 2 and I think they are fab :D they're slightly absorbent, waterproof and nice and soft! Edgar filled the pocket bit with water and in the 5mins it took to finish what he had to eat none of it leaked out. I'd give then 9/10 if I was rating them, they would be pretty easy to rinse in the sink I think and dry really quick  I got mine from tesco

I'm :mad::mad: with them for you.

Ladies please remind me about the teeny size of a newborn tummy and just how very long it takes them to eat!

I'm so used now to a baby who can chug back 8oz of cow's milk as quick as I can, that I'm getting a bit fretful about how his brother seems to make a 45 minute effort-fest of eating 1 titchy little ounce before collapsing with exhaustion! Isn't it so weird? Someone asked yesterday when did fergie get so big. My answer in my heart: all of a very sudden on thursday morning! It's like I hadn't noticed until Kezzie came :o:)

Hope you're all ok, hugs as appropriate.

mm if you're reading on your sexy phone, hello! and just keep thinking of how much warmth and happiness will be in those cuddles with D and J when you get back :)
Aww honey, newborns have teeny tiny iddy biddy tummies :) I bet your talented self could turn that into a song ;)
I was the same with Chris, I got all emotional every time I saw him because he had got all grown up all of a sudden :A

Morning all :) Not been on here with you for a couple of days - been trying to get my head round Avon and trying to get started. Looks like it should be this week when I can start the door knocking!
    ...
have you looked at Kleeneze too?
I was thought of you the other day, when I was contemplating using an ironing service, is that something you think you could do?
    Anyone know what they charge?

Morning all :D mm - hope your day goes ok, have fun with elle :)

EA - at her age they can feed very often, it'll most likely be over a month (maybe up to 3mths) before she'll go a regular time like every 4hrs :)

ps. if she finishes the 4oz everytime then give her 5oz next time :)

Just popped on whilst Liam ate/played/cleaned the highcahir tray with his toast and saw this :D

Thanks Sami - I'll add them to the ever expanding list of holiday bits and have a look around. Unfortunately the one in the link isn't quite Liams colour :rotfl:

Sami i paid a lady £20 an hour to do my ironing but she was super fast and managed to get all the kids clothes ironed in that hour and i finished ours. it was £20 well spent as i put the LOs down for a sleep and she would iron in the living room and i would finish off the rest of the house!
What's for you won't go past you

Morning ladies. Not been on for a few days. Tried to catch up last night, but kind of gave up. Have I missed anynews?

SS - glad you got your holiday sorted! Now you can look forward to relaxing. Are you meeting MFD?
Csh - pleased that you managed an extra half hour in bed today. Hope K is happy now his tooth is through.
MM - hope you manage to have a nice time in Nottingham. When are you and Elle meeting up?

EA - within about a week of getting Holly home, we were making up 6oz bottles! I was worried that she was drinking too much for her age, but she's always been fine and a healthy weight. I think you should just give Lily what she needs. If she has had enough she will not take any more. x

EA, you can't over feed them at this age, all she will do is be sick. They really are disgusting little things like that!

I need words with Amber, she's still feeding all the time, like every 2 hours i reckon lol. But i do offer it to her everytime she whines, and i keep thinking, if i had to make a bottle everytime she whined then i'd be making sure there was a good gap between feeds by now. I don't even see any pattern in it. Maybe i should try writing it down or something, cos there's zero patttern to sleep too.

SM - I'm there on the 7th sorry for not seeing it earlier, been flitting between laptop an telly oh an coughing fits.

Am I right that 7th is in the school holidays? I'd like to come, and L would love to see lots of cute babies, but i'm not sure about bringing J - he doesn't like lots of people and doesn't like babies. :( I might have to see how his mood is on the day. (Or see what Mum is doing that day ;))

It was me. I was exactly the same when J was my baby, and L came along. My baby J suddenly looked huge with these massive toddler feet! :rotfl:

    Yey for Keirens tooth. :T

EA She'll settle into some sort of feeding pattern eventually - honest ;). But in the very early days, it can seem like the day is just a constant cycle of feeding & changing.

Bibs with the collection bit - We've got a green TT plastic foldy one. I thought V had done really well eating her rice last week, no, most of it was in the collection bit! But she was very clever and was started to spoon out of the bib instead of the bowl.

This weekend, the funniest thing in the world is taking your own socks off and flinging them. Her feet are permenantly frozen. :(

    Ah ok thanks :)

I have been making up more as she needed. I'll start doing 5oz bottles now and see how she goes from there.

She's only been sick twice, and both times it hit OH :rotfl:

:D I have made a small nest for her out of my old pregnancy pillow :D
She seems to be sleeping ok in it for a second, she'll wake up soon and cry cause she isn't in my arms :p

eta: 3onitsway - Yeah, espcially as im bf during the day it does seem she is on my boob all the time lol. She can be there for upto an hour at times. The bf counseller told me to take her off after an hour.

oh I wouldn't like that, I don't like having people in my house :o
I thought they charged per item?

oh I missed yey for K's tooth, Ed's 3rd came through this morning as I predicted the other day  I knew it would be there after he did the little new tooth wimper in his sleep when I nipped the loo after his 3/4am feed.
    Brave boys x

Ed's christening is booked for 9th May, FIL with be doing the ceremony and it'll be during the church (building's) birthday service so there is a faith supper afterwards so we don't need to worry about catering :money:
