workinmummy, what was going on down your street last night? :)

Oh, Elle. Funny. OH had ructions will chav next door. He's 18, and was kicking ball at our car, would normally be a small problem, but much more so, as it is a hire car and we are liable for any damages. OH banged on window told him to pack it in, chav didn't take kindly to it. OH went out to him, grabbed hold of him and asked chav to hit him, so he could hit him back. Chav did not. Once released gobbed off again. OH came back in. Then Chav re-appeared in front of car, holding a massive sick, threatening to smash the headlights. OH ran for the door, as he go outside, a police man was shouting at chav to get down on the floor, whilst pointing a tazer at him.

I was upstairs, bathing Alex, having heard shouting looked out to see him with the big stick near the car, grabbed Alex and ran down the two flights of bloody stairs and out the door. OH was coming back in and said police have got him. He was spreadeagled face down on the drive. Back up came, handcuffed him and carted him off. Police were there at an unrelated incident down the road and had seen him come round the corner with the stick and followed him. Damn good job they were there, because OH, would have killed him and he would have had the stick firmly wedged up his backside, whilst in a hospital bed.

I do live in a nice area, honest. Have had loads of problems with him. Thought he was the eldest son, but apparently he's the toy boy. He is always threatening the kids in the street, one even knocked on our door once, asking for help because chav was threatening them and wouldn't let them past to get their bikes so they could go home.

OH went to the station later on and gave a statement. Got home gone midnight. Said chav is being charged with public disorder and is not allowed near us or our property. Just a little worried about Joe playing out now, but we are to ring the police straight away if any problems. OH is hero of the street, because every one hates him.

Pheww!. Long story. But a good un. :rotfl::rotfl:

Kindof, is he feeding well? Has he lost a lot of weight? Basically otheriwse healthy?

If he is feeding well and his weight is good then usually they will want him to stay another 24-48 hours for monitoring and then you can get home. Night before they will ask you to room in with him, usually in a room in SCBU or on a ward if no space just to make sure you are ok over night. Is he breast fed or formula fed?

WM, bet you both had smug grins on after he was caught! Stupid chav!

Shorties, you know, you now have a good reason to go buy some jazzy new boots! :D

I better put my shopping away, it arrived at 9.50am and is still there (fridge stuff has been put away though). Need to go get dog food and school trousers and shoes for Michael.

Oh and also, my acceptance letter for college arrived :D:D:D:D

Would other people find this irritating or is it just me? I have two friends and if either of them is organising something they always get the other one to invite me. (That bit isn't really irritating - I just find it really strange.) Then whichever one is supposed to be contacting me doesn't. They have our landline number and know I'm in most of the time. They also have my mobile number but do they use either of those? No. They text my husband to arrange things with me. What is wrong with contacting me direct?

I would be exceptionally peeved, Susan. Anyone asking my OH if I was allowed to come out and play would no longer be on my "go out and play" list. But then anyone wanting to spend time with the two/three of us has to ask me rather than him because he's not organised enough to remember to tell me and I'll double book us.

SS - We go to Kindermusik on a Wednesday. Is this a free trial you are going to or do you regularly go? Is the current theme Dewdrops? I preferred the last one which was dance related!

Ours is at Gymboree and it's just a children's music class. I didn't realise Kindermusik was a brand name type deal - I should probably call it music class the better not to confuse :o
It was great. I preferred the gymnastic-type class but Molly's naptime is right over it and she was awful last week so the music one suits her better for now. I've signed her up for three months' worth of the class, by which time she'll be over ten months and old enough for the more sociably timed Play and Learn level 3.

:rotfl: she full on two-handed grabbed a boy's bottom at class when he crawled in front of her. I'm a bad mummy - instead of releasing the boy I laughed till I was concerned for the integrity of my pelvic floor.

    Well done Tia :)

It was a book for Alice - not for me. (But we gave it to her friend as a birthday present because Alice wasn't bothered about it and we knew he would love it.)

Oh yes. Even more so for the good luck that the police were there. Definately would have ended up with OH in the cells again - Dim and distant past before I knew him!

    Yay Tia. :T
