Tara, forgot to say above, your email is very good. Easy to read and concise and to the point. Far less blunt than I would have been but gets your point across nicely, and I also agree that the email should get a wider audience. Points West springs to mind.

I'm very glad to hear that Sacha and Poppie are doing so well. Been thinking of you all and sending you all the positive thoughts I could.

    Well done Benjamin!

I'm pro reins, although apparently some people complain about them. I'm halfway hoping someone criticises me when seeing Molly in them - I'm all for free range babies but not when they can escape and hurt/lose themselves.

And thank you for reminding me that I have loads of Toblerone in the cupboard. I think I'm going to eat a little bit of Thorntons chocolate first though... nomnom.

Especially when you use the reins to pick them up so they just hang mid-air! :rotfl:

    well done Benjamin.

i'm all for reins, sooner they get used to them the better.

when i was a toddler, a man gave out to my mum for using them, said she was treating me like a dog!! and she just said i'd rather use reins than have her run out on the road. he shut up then.

    and happy birthday erin!! sign0072.gif

Not sure what I think about reins. I've always thought they are a great idea, must get tiring when LO has to hold arm in the air to hold hands. Now LO is nearing the age for them, I don't really fancy them.

Well done Benjamin - now can you pop up here and teach V.

Our Brantano does Clarkes, Startrite and Hush Puppies. J's school shoes are hush puppies and came with three sets of innersoles for thin, normal and wide feet - not sure if they do the same with babies though?

Reins - you can get just a wrist strap too I think I had one for J when L was in the pram?

And Happy Birthday to big Erin.

I hate reins, but I will no doubt use them! One of my first memories is my mum dragging me along the road by the wrist type ones. My legs were grazed all the way down, and I had a bruise around my wrist for weeks apparantly! So obviously I am a bit prejudiced about the things. But I will use the harness type when Seth is older, and for his safety rather than as a method of dragging him along when he is tired and wont walk.

I personally don't rate reins much esp in the early days because they fall over too often

That is exactly why I was thinking that reins are a good idea? With reins I can stop him from falling over completely

I had no idea that reins were so controversial :rotfl:bl00dy hell is there nothing in this parenting lark that is simple!!

Krystal - any chance of a borrow of your reins and monkey for a week at the same time as your buggy? :D

I have a toblerone if anybody wants a piece - it is a BIG one!

Hubby tells me I am going home to a toddler, Benjamin has officially joined the world of walking rather than just throwing himself forward for a couple of steps :T We will be off to buy shoes this weekend.

Any thoughts on reigns? Would it be too soon to get some for our holdays? I know he won't walk for long but it might be nice to give him the opportunity to walk for a while...we go in 2 weeks.

Is there anybody who doesn't use clarks for a first pair of shoes?

    I'm up for toblerone please..

We have reins but dont use them all the time with Henry.

    Happy Birthday Erin....:bdaycake:

Jillie I have loads of watchers on my babasling but still no bids and that ends on Sunday so dont worry...plus watchers on 2 other things with no bids so dont worry too much yet...

Any ideas on the 21 days question please
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

We had a weird thing in Primark in Exeter 2 years ago and it was never in the papers. A little girl 3 went missing so Primark sensibly shut all exits. Our friend was involved in the search and they found her in the changing room, with different clothes on and her hair shaved to look like a boy. Only took the 2 men a few minutes. The only conclusion we came to was that it was kept quiet as maybe the police were trying to catch a ring!
