I also did tons of nipple stim, but that's obviously out of the question for you. Getting restless, missy?

It's a bit like restless, but based more on how I feel it will be better for fergie if it's sooner if that makes sense?

I just can't hold him and do things for him and stuff in the same way. And it's daft because I could have a section and then not lift him up for 6 weeks so it's not very based on the facts, but I just feel like I won't be shortchanging him anymore...

Sorry if this is insensitive to kindof, cos I know it's annoying you if people go earlier than you and I don't want this to be a frustrating thing that I want to go 2 weeks earlier than due date :o:)

ETA, evening primrose oil has the same effect when taken orally (the idea is that the prostaglandins are used by the body to create the right kind of prostaglandins to prepare the cervix for delivery). It's also good to stick em up your foof too. SS and I did that :D Not together though... I was clever enough to wear old pants, SS had oily knickers :D

And suddenly it all comes flooding back.

    So to speak.

Actually, the oily knickers weren't anywhere near as disturbing as the oil slick at the middle-of-the-night pee  Oh, and it did eff all good in my case, the foetus in question refused to take the leap to become a baby and in fact ducked away - during an exam the midwife said, Oh, I can feel the baby's hea ... OMG she just moved away from me!!! as an outline of tiny feet appeared unfeasibly high up my abdomen.

Molly was a sneaky one eh?

In my case it didn't matter because we went for the sunroof option anyway.

Skin was nice and soft though...

Does anyone have the Britax baby safe Plus SHR? DD has been told Poppie needs a wedge in her carseat to be released but doesn't this one already have it and if so is it enough? X

On its own no it isn't enough.. but I think I'd probably tell the hospital to sod off.. though, did it not come with one???

Tell the hospital she is walking home with the pushchair.. she won't need one then1#!!!!!!!

Erm... I have seen them sold seperately on ebay but that won't be quick enough i'm sure.. have you tried mothercare, boots and halfords?

ETA... Nope.. gotta buy them separately...

I did the evening primrose thing too... The semi disolved shell was most disconcerting!!!!

We also had that option, although it was thrust upon us rather than decided upon.

One of the midwives actually commented on how soft the skin on my legs was ... I was mildly disturbed at the time but wonder now if the run-off from the EPO caused it :rotfl:

  • Hi all,

18 pages to catch up on and I am unbelievably tired :o I will try.

Hope everyone has had a lovely Mothers Day.

We have had a fab day meeting one of my closest friends and her husband and daughter (18m) at the Monkey Forest, followed by Frankie and Bennys (yummy!) where we were given a free bottle of wine to take home each. We then scooted DSS home to his mummy (who I am very grateful to for letting him spend most of the day with us) and then family cuddles and present unwrapping whilst watching the grand prix.

I think I am tireder than Benjamin!!

My thing was I did SOOOO many "tricks" I have no idea which one worked, if any!!
    Not kidding:
    - EPO
    - semen (aaaaahem)
    - starjumps :p
    - clary sage oil massages and in the bath
    - nipple stim
    - bouncing on ball plus general optimum fetal positioning exercises
    - loads of walking

there may have been more but I've had half a bottle of wine and I can't remember the rest :D:D

the question is...do I get DH to go fetch more wine? :rotfl: keeping in mind my head will NOT thank me in the morning

ooo oo forgot to say we picked up our cot today, I put it together and Finn is sleeping in it tonight! (inside his Moses basket tho)! YAYYYYYYY!
