are you on benefits caz? .. im not so probably why i cant x

Its MEANS tested not 'qualifying benefits' tested so I'd put money on you getting some help. Housing Benefit is for people that work too!

nope, we private rent...too poor to buy but not poor enough for council housing! ;)

and my work is only 20 people in 1 office in London :p

I'm sure you didn't mean it to come accross like that but, council housing is open to anyone regardless of millions or lack thereof :p
Almost anyone can be elegible for one, trying to get one is a whole different kettle of fish!!
The people I bought my house from sold up and moved into a council house after waiting years on the list to get one.

Stinky oh's who are being thoughtless today need a kick up the bum!! My dh isn't much better...Yes I got some nice pressies but I had been up since before 7am (went bed after 1am) he didn't rise till nearly 9am I think...plus I had bought eggs bacon and sausages and by lunch time they still hadn't moved from the fridge so I commented that I would make my own 'special' breakfast and he just waltzed off upstairs saying that i'm not his mum, it's the kids who need to make it for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway glad to see you got the truck Elle, I bet he will master it in no time:)

ss - I don't know why he felt the need to share that info exactly, but he was mentioning that he may attend some 'clubs' in Manchester and would we like to go along!!! Dh was a bit annoyed today, at the end of the day we couldn't give a rats !!!! what he's into, but we don't need to know the ins and outs of it do we. It's not like we would go round sharing our bedroom antics with him or anyone else for that matter! Very strange, I said we should see him a little less frequently if he is going to bombard us with it all the time.....

Have been and collected my mums butterly table ready for tomorrow, then went to Asda to get some flowers for our mums, argos to get a table for dh's monitor to go on, then the pub to see my mum as she is in work today, then MIL's flat, then Somerfield to pick up a very quick barely cook dinner for the kids and I am worn out now, still need to iron the kids uniforms (about the only thing I do iron) and then we can chill with a dvd later once the kids are in bed:D

Don't take this the wrong way SM, but I think you've been seriously misinformed if you think that 1 working adult in a 2 child family doing 20hrs a week in a min wage or thereabout job will receive NO help towards the cost of a private let.
I know people who both work and they still get housing benefit.
Top ups of WTC and CTC are not all classed as income when working out HB. :)

He might just have been testing the waters to see if you were also interested. My far more worldly OH informs me that this is accepted etiquette and once it's established that you don't want to join him in his explorations he probably won't be asking you to admire his new nipple clamps.

Poor Mel must be gutted now! :rotfl:

CSH I didn't qualify for any HB's when I was single with two children and working very part time. The TC's pushed me over the limit for HB from what I remember. I'm guessing SM is in the same position?
