ps Kindof I think it's recommended to eat in early labour, but then just sip energy drink from the start of established labour (4cms dilated)

The things I'd avoid would probably be too many eggs or something really spicey with loads of garlic in. Unless you really hate your midwife, in which case-Go for it!

it's not just girls that men manage to dress badly, I have to lay out Chris's stuff for OH to put on him ortherwise he looks a right state. why do men not understand that a t-shirt isn't warm enough for a small child in winter? :p

sounds fine to me kindof :) I think fruit, cereal bars and yoghurt is the usual recommended things so not far different.
Is the lucozade in a sports topped bottle or do you have a straw? drinking normally was beyond me in both labours

MFD, are you here? When are you going on your hollybags? Where are you going? Did you get a good deal and a nice hotel?

Edit: KOAG my hospital room was super warm and I think they keep them that way for the babies - if the rice puddings need to be kept cool you might need a coolbag or something :)

that's a really good point sami.

I could sip from a cup in the pool 4-8cms, but then I couldn't after, mostly cos they wanted me in Lithotomy (stirrups) position.
