Weezly was there a reason for wanting you on ya back?
I admire any woman who squats/stand etc I don't know how they do it! I have to be on my back for pushing
You were on your LHS for the rest with Ed tho, right?
I was well up for staying on all fours, totally my position of choice, but they flipped me. I was perplexed, because I'd read in the nice guidelines that it's not a good position because it's contra gravity. I asked my MW this time if she might explain why, she just said they sometimes try it if things aren't happening in one position.
Then I was more perplexed cos I only pushed for 36 mins which for a first labour seems really short...
So I wonder if maybe they were slowing things and using controlled crowning to help me not tear. Which I didn't, so fair play to them!
Boo, not kind, just truthful

I've never gone that far!
that made me laugh thinking of the Jonny Cash song where the bloke shoots his dad for naming him Sue!
And well done on the 11.5 hrs.
:eek:I'm about to open an email about my BIL's wedding. Something tells me it is going to be elaborate and uncomfortable - the wedding's in Bermuda and their wedding invitation came in a box with a dead starfish in. I'm just waiting for the dress code ... will I be expected to cart an evening dress and pearls across the Atlantic?
We did have a lovely time but didn't have a camera. I wished I did when Alice and Charlotte were both sitting in the fire engine thing. James is a lovely boy - if I had a son I would be very happy if he was as nice as James. And Becles and newbie_maz are not builders called Dave.Hope the NE ladies have a lovely meeting. Is anyone taking a camera?
I know it's in very short supply generally but have you asked if you would qualify for any respite care? Your post is exactly what respite care is there for.I have officially had enough! Charlie is driving me up the wall! i was woken to find he has drawn on all my walls and carpets and megans bed with lipstick. i have spent the past 2 hours cleaning it up (oh and his whole body?) am sat here thinking is this what he is going to be like forever? all he does is ruin everything we have and have worked so hard to get, nothing stops him and i feel like a terrible mother giving up on him. i just dont know if i can get up every moring to see what he has destroyed? stair gates, safety locks etc dont keep him out as he works things out very quickly, obviously i cant put a lock on his door but i just dont see any way of securing things from him? sorry for the rant first thing just feel like im going to explode!
My OH used to be like that. He used to be always getting dresses the wrong way round because some did up at the front and some at the back and he would try to work it out instead of going by the label.boogellyboo wrote: »OH got up with Isla and offered to get her dressed, I went to get her clothes out but he said he could do it. My daughter resembles a bash street kid! He's put her in a pastel/ baby pink floaty sleeveless dress on backwards! A short sleeved vest poking out, navy blue cherry print tights and bright pink baseball boots! Once she's finished this feed and Ive taken a picture I'm changing her!
I'd definitely recommend doing it early on - by the time I did it with Alice she was nearly one and she didn't really like back carries.boogellyboo wrote: »I really need to master back wraps soon too.
You're almost the same age as me - I'm thirty at the end of this month.boogellyboo wrote: »Krystal the Hello Kitty cake is fantastic, it's given me a great idea for my birthday cake. *Gulp* its my 30th next month :eek:Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I was on all fours with Chris's labour until I had the urge to push and Ed I was kneeling (after re arranging furniture lol) then a bit of all fours and on my side until I couldn't take it anymore, my legs turn turn to jelly and the pressure is immense that I lay down to slow things down.
Both boys were relatively quick so I don't think it matters much in my case but I did try to not be on my back for both, maybe #3 I'll manage it all the way

the nursery he has been put to is meant to be time out for us but until he has settled then we cant leave him. the assessment will be over 12 weeks and then we will have a meeting to get things put into place. I think tiredness and stress is just getting too much, when he was in a cot he would lie down and go to sleep but now the more he gets up the more excited he becomes and hyper he gets. he must have got up in early hours to make as much mess as he did, but i dont know what to do with him?I know it's in very short supply generally but have you asked if you would qualify for any respite care? They didn't talk lots but they did play. Alice says she likes Charlotte and James and wants to play with them again. She also liked Evie but was sad that Amber wasn't there.awwwww, so did Charlotte & Alice get up to much mischief together? We've always been saying on here that they need to meet!

The north east is a good place to go on holiday...I'm so jealous of the meet today, esp as I think Chris would love to meet Alice and Charlotte, he struggles to find others his age that aren't super shyAny question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
