You were on your LHS for the rest with Ed tho, right?

I was well up for staying on all fours, totally my position of choice, but they flipped me. I was perplexed, because I'd read in the nice guidelines that it's not a good position because it's contra gravity. I asked my MW this time if she might explain why, she just said they sometimes try it if things aren't happening in one position.

Then I was more perplexed cos I only pushed for 36 mins which for a first labour seems really short...

So I wonder if maybe they were slowing things and using controlled crowning to help me not tear. Which I didn't, so fair play to them!

i was standing for lewis and erin as once they had me on my feet there was no way i could do anything else lol! it also made things happen a lot quicker! i only grazed when standing compared to being on my back?

We did have a lovely time but didn't have a camera. I wished I did when Alice and Charlotte were both sitting in the fire engine thing. James is a lovely boy - if I had a son I would be very happy if he was as nice as James. And Becles and newbie_maz are not builders called Dave.

I know it's in very short supply generally but have you asked if you would qualify for any respite care? Your post is exactly what respite care is there for.

My OH used to be like that. He used to be always getting dresses the wrong way round because some did up at the front and some at the back and he would try to work it out instead of going by the label.

I'd definitely recommend doing it early on - by the time I did it with Alice she was nearly one and she didn't really like back carries.

I was on all fours with Chris's labour until I had the urge to push and Ed I was kneeling (after re arranging furniture lol) then a bit of all fours and on my side until I couldn't take it anymore, my legs turn turn to jelly and the pressure is immense that I lay down to slow things down.
Both boys were relatively quick so I don't think it matters much in my case but I did try to not be on my back for both, maybe #3 I'll manage it all the way

the nursery he has been put to is meant to be time out for us but until he has settled then we cant leave him. the assessment will be over 12 weeks and then we will have a meeting to get things put into place. I think tiredness and stress is just getting too much, when he was in a cot he would lie down and go to sleep but now the more he gets up the more excited he becomes and hyper he gets. he must have got up in early hours to make as much mess as he did, but i dont know what to do with him?

I'm so jealous of the meet today, esp as I think Chris would love to meet Alice and Charlotte, he struggles to find others his age that aren't super shy

They didn't talk lots but they did play. Alice says she likes Charlotte and James and wants to play with them again. She also liked Evie but was sad that Amber wasn't there.
