    Morning all xx

I'm waiting for my son to wake up :( he's off out with Grandma and Grandad today. Me and DH are off out later to pick up a bounce and spin zebra I won on eBay for £10 :D Then as it's mothers day tomorrow and most places will be packed DH is treating me to lunch today :A When I got home from work last night I put the birthday cards up I'd received and there is a pile on the mantlepiece that say mummy on them my heart melted. Ooh and Daniel made a card at the CMs too :D

Anyone like a piece of carrot cake? Both cakes I made (carrot and victoria sponge) were a hit at work yesterday and it was so much cheaper than buying cakes/choccies from the supermarket so :money:

Must try and pop a visit to my Gran in somewhere today aswell as she has shattered her shoulder (she has osteoporosis) and the doctor has suggested having an op and she's a bit worried, plus her OH is playing up again and it's really draining her. I was speaking to my mum and she was saying it's not her place to say something about her OH, but I'm sorry I know he's not well and it will get progressively worse, but his family need to pull their fingers out of their backsides and do something before he ends up hurting my Gran or himself. I'll have no problem telling them so. It makes me so  because it's all about money with them and alot of them ate actually quite well off. Plus I know if the shoe was on the other foot so to speak they'd be the first people to tell my mum what to do.

Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant then :o but I LOVE my Gran as she and my Grandad (RIP) looked after me when I was a baby and my mum went back to work. So I'd do anything for her.

Right my son still isn't up and ILs will be here by 8 so I'll have to go wake him up :o

Kindof, my MW told me that they would much rather I ring 100 times about nothing than sit at home worrying that it might be 'something'.

They won't mind honestly, and if it can put your mind at rest maybe you'll relax enough to let beany out. Definitely sounds like he's on the move. Good luck hun, look forward to seeing piccys when he finally arrives. xxxxx

    Morning :)

Well don't think DH gets it! Last night he said I'd have to stack shelves at night time or something while he's home to have C. I told him the problem isn't the CM, it's being away from me - full stop! I then reminded him what would he do when he was on call!

Hugs to you ladies who aren't getting much sleep xx Is it possible for you to nap in the daytime? When C was born I had almost 3 full nights without sleep, the night I was in labour, the first night she was born as she wouldn't sleep, then the first night at home. I know how you feel.

PP do you think signing up for some mystery shopping would be good for you? Or are you crafty at all? There's a site like etsy in the UK and I'm guessing wrap slings are simple and cheap to make and could easily be knocked up (so to speak) to order with C around. It's not going to be a lifestyle like the one you can have while working but it might be ok for a bit.....? Just until she gets a bit bigger and minds leaving you less.

I went to bed right after my last post last night, gently finagled Molly so she was pointing the right way and then passed right out. Then OH took poor sore-farty Molly so I had about five straight hours of sleep!!!

SS, I've done a bit of mystery shopping before so could try that again. I'm also signing up for Avon, I'll be home all day now so should have plenty of time to do ti. I've worked out that we'll be around £300 per month down on what we would have if I went back to work. Although I'm not sure whether the CM is still expecting a retainer fee per week until I actually go back. If she is then that's another £120 per month. It's not mega amounts, and if DH carries on being on call and doing the overtime then we should be ok with a few cutbacks here and there. I've seen the thread about baby bouquets and would love to do something like that, but I'm not very imaginitive!

Have you thought about homestart or even getting someone in to help around the house? theres always ads up here for people looking for a little extra x

I have, but I haven't got any money to pay for a cleaner. It's hard enough paying for essentials, never mind luxuries like a cleaner.

Sorry I didn't come back yesterday. I was upset and didn't feel like chatting :o

Busy day today. Off out this morning, then I've got DIY in the bathroom to do this afternoon, laundry and ironing, and a load of web based research to do for work.
Here I go again on my own....

Me thinks Caitlyn would like some too :D

This is the one I used http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/carrotcake_7464.shtml however it took more than the 40-60 mins to cook! More like 2hrs :D but worth it, maybe
    my cookers crap though??
