Anyone found a decent remedy for colic?

Alex, the most peaceful, placid baby I have ever seen has taken to turning into a demon child in the evening.

He had infacol last night, but I am not sure it helped- we will carry on for a few days though :)

Becles: I read your comment about the HM saying no more FB or else. Or else what exactly??? Over stepping your boundary much HM????????

eta: parnets night shouldn't discuss anything other than standard of work timekeeping and behaviour in class. Not the time or place to talk about the FB stuff!

I don't know what the "or else" is exactly. It's got James worried sick though as he has an overactive imagination, and was imagining me being sent to prison for letting him on it. I've told him not to be so daft, but in a nicer way that that!

I have to apply for a place for Charlotte at the school in September so I don't want to kick up too much of a stink in case they say she can't go to the school.
Here I go again on my own....

I think I am the main one who objects to baby signing/makaton so I will just keep my big gob shut next time

Can you tell me why please? Molly has her own communicative signs - when she's pooped she'll put herself in the changing table position, she lifts her arms to be picked up when she's bored of whatever activity she's doing and she says aboooooooooooooooooooooooooooob when she's hungry. It seems logical that they communicate in whatever way works for them - why not specific signs? I'm curious :)

Yah boo sucks to your non-presentation-writing consultant. I hope he sees your presentation.

'night all. Feely, if you don't post again within the next 24 hours I shall be setting fire to SS and sending her to hug you. Be warned.

The hell?! Set me on fire to give people flaming hugs? But I agree, Feelie, please do post.
Anyway, I'm off to bed, got a meeting with SS again tommorrow :( bloody pests!
    Night all x

I always have to look twice when the SS are mentioned and it doesn't mean me :rotfl: Good luck, and I hope you manage to get your ex off your back. It shouldn't be hard to get an injunction considering his stalkeriffic behaviour.

Becles, that HM is overstepping his boundaries shockingly, and for him to be upsetting James because he's concerned about the consequences of you doing what you feel is right is completely inappropriate. I think parents evening is purely for academic stuff, but if you see him I'd make an appointment for a meeting during the working day.

    KOAG still here? *sympathy face*

Big hugs Krystal, I hope the worst of it is already over and everyone's ok at the end of it.

KT quite often babies are horrible in the evenings because they're processing all the information they learned during the day and it's stressful for them. Lots of calm walking around and cuddling should help if it isn't colic - you said the Infacol didn't do any good?

Jenny, if you can claim the yogurts are for the baby they're ok to go with you :) That picture still makes me melt, I've not even had a cup of tea yet and that's more cuteness than I can handle, coupled with Molly chatting to herself.

Good luck with the jabs Maz, I hope he's ok after them :(

I am being a bad girl and looking at shoes. Will someone tell me not to please?

    Hello everyone.

    Good luck at nursery Charlie.

KT - If Alex is colicy, you need to give the Infacol or any other remedies a good week to see if they are working. They don't work instantly. I would wait until the end of the week, and if he is still as bad, try another one - you can get Dentinox for colic, Coacynth Crystals and Colief. Some are good for some babies but don't work on others. We tried them all and think Colief may have helped, but she was about 3 months so it should have been improving anyway. Colief is quite expensive though so if any of the others work then that would be better!
Baby massage is also good - massage his tummy gently in circular motions in a clockwise direction as that's the way the digestive system goes or something like that (not sure if you have done any baby massage or not). Apart from that, just try to stay as relaxed as possible - I think the more stressed people get, the more stressed their babies get (my opinion only!)
