I hope they're not actually making the pots like that for sale... D's favourite is Caramel Chew Chew and there's no way I'm having anything tory in this house!
My surname is M-B and his is B and we've not had our renewals through... Think we get ours the end of May some time...
I'm keeping the bag
I thought I best check with D and he said seeing as it's my win, and I'll probably never have the chance to own a £250 bag again, I should make the most of it...
And I'm on a roll... BRMB just rang me to tell me I've won tickets to the womens gymnastics finals at the NIA next Saturday
:D Just need to sort out a babysitter though... Anyone free? A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Krystal – Skanky area you are referring to is called Scotland! When H’s toothpaste runs out I have just to go back to dentist for more. Babies all get dental appointment at a couple of months old – it’s called ChildSmile (you were close CSH!). We got toothbrush, toothpaste (it is minty) and 2 TT sippy cups. Plus advice on how to check for sugar levels in pre packed food and how to look after their teeth. Scotland has very bad dental records.
Hammy – Where you off to on holiday? I got some brochures the other day (hubby thinks I am “Tied to the 90s” but I find them easier to browse to find what you are looking for and compare facilities etc).
Well done Jack for bum shuffling.
We do get our houses baby proofed for free. This is the link for what’s available:

I should phone up about it soon to be organised for when H starts moving.
I noticed I have some TC payments in my bank so they must have paid me a backdated amount. I chanced it by sending off last years form and based it on my full wage. I guess when I get a letter through advising me how much I get, I will just phone them up to say I am now on SMP and they will adjust it as appropriate?0 -
very interesting.I told OH when I was pregnant that if we were having any more children the only way it would be happening would be by adoption but I changed my mind. I even went so far as to request and the information pack from the council despite being ill at the time. (Long term I do still want to adopt but I don't think OH will be convinced we can manage adopted children until we've had a few more begotten ones.)
What's your ideal ratio/number of biologically yours:adoptively yours children?
If you don't mind me being nosey:o

my warped mind I'm sure, but I just pictured a house with an enormous condom stretched over it
Fitz, they shouldn't count the first-I think £100 per week of your SMP as earnings, But some of us on here had to remind them of that exemption
sorry if you already knew that:)

He he, I know that wasn't the right term, but it's how Glam described it earlier I think. And what I keep saying even though I keep thinking that it's not quite right! I think that some people could probably do with an enormous condom stretched over their house though!!
I have no clue about tax credits and only applied for them 2 weeks ago despite having Holly in September. I thought she would have to be in childcare for me to receive anything but apparently not, thanks to you lovely lot.
Nice to see you posting again Weezl. You must be terribly busy with your boys and all your challenges.
Fingers crossed Fergie's bottom troubles are behind him soon now he has new meds (did you see what I did there?).

opinion time please
OH has suggested both of us working 4 days a week so J only goes to creche for 3 days. He earns less than me so I suggested he try to drop a day completely & I will work 4 long days as my wage is higher than his so we'd miss my lost day alot.
In theory, J would be with both of us Saturday, Sunday - then with OH on a Monday, Me on a Wednesday & Creche, Tuesday, Thursday Friday from 7.30am until 5.30pm (10hrs).
Pros - It means we pay £60 a week less in childcare
J is only in creche for 3 days
I would get 3 full days with him rather than just 2 and 2.5hrs 5 nights a week
He gets a full day with Daddy - more bonding time
Cons
Lose £75 from OH not working (thats before tax)
I wouldn't see him much those 3 days or the day when he is with OH - only 1.5hrs a night.
We would need to give creche a months notice, do budget planner and speak to our respective workplaces but thought I'd get other people's views on it in case I'm missing something
thanksA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

oh har har:D
I hope so too fitz. She said he's at the age now where he 'gets' cause and effect so he's likely to start holding his poo in because it hurts and bleeds to go.:( She feels we might have a heck of a job potty training too
My current plan is to wait til the summer when he's just 3 and kessie is just 2 and just spend the whole summer out in our garden with no pants on.:D
Them I mean. I wear pants at all times. I put them back on during labour after my stretch and sweep and the midwife had to shout at me to make me take them off for pushing

Glam - I know I am probably going to regret replying but here goes anyway....
We are hoping to do something like this but I am waiting on my work to approve my requested hours. I am going to work 4 days compressed into 3, and DH is going to work 5 days compressed into 4. It means only childcare for 2 days and MIL will do one of those. It will be a longer day for Holly on the days she is having childcare so my parents will hopefully pick her up from childminders early so that she at least has someone familiar and can get home to her own bed earlier.
If you want me to be brutally honest (which I am being, sorry), I feel that your OH doesn’t seem to have done very much for Jack since he was born, and I wouldn’t trust him to look after him for a full day per week. My OH changes nappies, does feeds, gets up during the night with H on a weekend as well as playing with her, and he has looked after her for hours on lots of occasions when I have been out, or taken Holly out with him to give me a break. And he loves doing it all!
Does your OH realise what’s involved? You do so much for him and Jack that I think he would be lost if you weren’t there. If I were you and you were going to consider this (bearing in mind that you are running out of time to make a decision), I would say “right OH, you are in full charge of Jack this weekend to see how we get on” and whilst you would be there to offer advice, let him do the nappies and all the feeds etc.
Apologies again if I am out of line, and I know that I don’t know your OH, I am just going by what you post on here, but you know I get infuriated on your behalf about how much you do and the lack of hands on help your OH seems to give you!0 -
hello all - hope you are all well. Finally recovered fully and back online
