Quick bargain for some of you. i went into bodycare today they are selling off some old boots stock they have teats for newborns and 3 months+ to fit wide necked bottles and they are selling them for 29p a pack. I have bought some and they fit my avent bottles so some of you ladies with new babies may be able to save a small fortune if they have them by you as the avent ones cost between £2.50 & £3 a pack :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Izzy has started banging her head on the floor when she is crying, and its anything from I'm bored to I am hungry that shes doing it for. She gets herself so worked up that she is inconsolable (so much that she cant eat sometimes), it started happening about 2 weeks ago and only happens once or twice a day but she can carry on for upto an hour. Any one got any ideas? I have tried distracting her, taking her out, cuddles, raspberries on tummy, restraining her, nothing seems to work! Is this just a phase? She is 11 months.
Hope everyone is well
PS I was given a 10m swimming certificate by my primary school when I had already swum 1 mile the year before in private lessons.
It's totally normal
Keira used to do this, and even now will occasionally go and stot her nogging off something when she isn't getting her own way. I think it was around age 1, that she started nutting the floor everytime she wasn't getting her own way, or was unhappy.
It's just frustration, once they can understand and tell you what they want, it does tend to get better. When Keira was doing it a few times a day, I would just throw a cushion down where she was stotting the floor, I found removing her or lifting her up just made her even worse. So I just softened her blows ( and hurridly got her some grub or whatever!)0 -
Krystal where did you get the pwetty bag from? I'm jealous, i don't even know what kind of bag it is but I love bright colours

The fluoride thing - My dentist is good at fixing your teeth but he is pants, I swear since I started brushing my teeth the way he said, I have receded a gum! Anyhoo i asked him about fluoride in toothpaste and he said to keep using kids stuff at 500pp (or whatever it is!) and I told him that most kids toothpastes have more than that, and I told him the stuff he was selling was 1000! Keira keeps getting free toothbrushes and tubes of paste from nursery - it's 1000pp, so we just use that. Wish they would add it to our water though!!0 -
Krystal - wait and see which bag it is before you make up your mind you may instantly love or hate it in which case you'll decide easier. Been looking for some tcp for the wound seems were out so need to get some of that I think first or savlon or similar. The wound is closed atm so not sure how much use it would be.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Good luck for your nephew tomorrow
I hope they get good results today. Chemo can work wonders
Doctor decided Elijah's rosy cheek was a form of infected eczema  and we went home with a 7-day antibiotic course, hydrocortisone cream and an emollient cream! Unfortunately he hates the antibiotic with a passion, and it has to be administered 4 times a day
already proving quite a big struggle. As a bonus, it is extremely sticky, noticeably more so than Calpol, say - so every battle where drops are spilt is a huge mess!
Running his bath tonight, he came barrelling into the living room looking anxious and poked me and said "Vatter! Oops! Vatter!" (Vatter = water - imagine it exactly like the bird in Watership Down says "Biiig vatter" - it is uncanny similar
)
He kept shuffling from foot and repeating himself til I got up and came to the bath, to discover he had flung an entire toilet roll into it... He pointed mournfully and said "Ooooops
Vatter
". Crazy little man.
D had infected eczema but it a lot better now so hopefully E will be feeling much better soon . I love his funny ways

I would love the disposable bibs if they are still available :A
Glad to hear Fergie has some new medication! Nice to see you posting again Weezl! The one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents

hello

we had fergie's paediatrician appt today about the poo situation.
the consultant was lovely
She said she thinks there's nothing sinister behind it, but that he will probably be on laxatives for some considerable time, and they've found a stronger one for him.
She feels he has been bleeding more than we've noticed because there are lots of tears and fissures around his anus. Poor fergie
Very glad we have new meds now tho.
Hugs for kristal about your nephew
Poor fergie
It's horrible being constipated, and it's not like he can even shoogle on the toilet seat to try and get it out (not that I do )
My best friend Paul, had similar to what Fergie has Weezl, he was on liquid laxatives until he was about 8 I think it was, and then he just suddenly was able to get the toilet normally. I remember his mum told me about his poo problems as a baby, much to his embarrassment!!0 -
