Harley, as far as I know, you pop it in the fridge then once cold add it to the bottle. But as I only ever got tiny amounts I just poured it into the one bottle straight from the pump, so no cooling.

You will stop making a mess once you get used to it, or you learn to put a towel down if your just naturally messy like me :D

I forgot to tell you all what my husband did. He let Amber FALL off the sofa the other day! Good job we have that rug that he is constantly moaning about, she landed head first! Must have been friday when I was at asda.

Steak pie on, dishes all done, washing all caught up, piles and piles of it to be sorted out, ironed, folded etc but Amber is sleeping. So I'm off to clean out my car, it smells bad so it's that time of the year :D

Thanks everyone. It will be gone within 24 hours one way or another. I can go across town to feed her at lunchtime again if I have to, it would just be a lot easier, and not cost me half hours pay, if I can find an alternative.

Edit: Harley, you can combine them but only at the same temperature, so refrigerate the second lot to the same temp as the first before adding them together. Where's the spillage from? Other boob or the one you're expressing from?
Thanks Sugar.Sounds like Molly, and you, had a great time. I'll miss that sort of thing as the Gym Babies here starts in August IIRC.
The leakage is from the boob I was expressing from. It seemed to trickle down my finger (i think) but I didn't feel it until the pool of it had cooled a bit. I was obviously concentrating to hard. Sorry if this is a bit gross, but I sort of had nipple and fingers in neck of bottle, with bottle neck resting on my lower finger hoping to catch the spillage but it didn't seem to work. The muslin was quite damp so wasted quite a bit.

Poor girl is worn out. The ear infection is making her quite uncomfortable and now she doesn't seem to want to feed at all, possibly because of the tonsilitis but was feeding ok earlier. Just got her off to sleep having drugged her up with the nurofen stuff the doctor gave me for her yesterday. Little madam has mastered stashing it in her cheek to make it look like she swallowed it then spitting it at me as soon as I take the spoon away. Mini genius I have here I think.

I gave my mum a bunch of stuff yesterday to sell today at a car boot, I didn't expect money back for it, but y'know £10 would of been nice or a packet of cigs....

Cause I know she made at least £30 from the crap I gave her. How mean!

Keira just jumped in the bath with OH, and I went in for a chat and she is like "Oh mummy, I'm going to the supermarket with Daddy in 12 minutes"

I was like "really? I don't think your dad will be ready in 60 minutes"

"Oh. Yes. You are right mummy"

But of course Keirabop! I always am :D

I came out the bathroom and I heard her say "Daddy, cover your willy up cause I don't like to see it, it's gusting!"

What age should kids stop having baths with their parents? We totally don't mind as we aren't of the p@edo variety, but is there a cut off age? I don't mean when she grows too big or whatever!

I need some BF and expressing help please. It will all be drunk (optimistically assuming she'll have it) before lunchtime tomorro so will all be less than 24 hours old. Am I right in thinking that is all I can keep it for in the fridge.

I wander in waffle about slings and bfing then wander out again! Anyway, I'm pretty certain that you can add bm to bm warm or cold or otherwise but I'm not 100% on that. It has anti bactierial properties (I'll stop before I start explaining how, and why it's really cool for fear of boring people to tears!) so it should be grand but I might be inclined to cool it down before adding in case I'm wrong!

BM can be kept at room temperature for 24 hours, in the fridge (at the back so it's proper cold and isn't exposed to changes in temp from opening and closing the door) for about 8 days and in the freezer for 3-6 months!

I still have the occasional bath with my Ds and he's 7 next month :o It's getting rare though, we used to bath together everytime, cos we didn't have a shower and it seemed a waste to have seperate baths.

Well i tried expressing again this morning and got 5oz! Although it was probably more like 6oz but i managed to spill a load and like harley said - i didn't realise until it went cold :rotfl: There was loads.

So next time, i won't put a tomme tippee bottle on an Avent breast pump (doh!)

Hey i thought BM could only be kept for 24 hours in the fridge too so i'm glad it's ok to keep it longer. 3 days would be ok IMO, that's how long we'd keep stuff in the fridges when i worked in catering, so i'll stick with that i think.
