    Evening all..

I came in from work thirsty and was drinking wine at 5.40pm.. is that bad? (coldest thing in the fridge!) *ahem* Anyway... :D

    Had a quick catch up..
    Welcome jolene! :)
I agree with Glam about bettering yourself at work... and being a nosy bint! :p That's how I did it ;)
Happy birthday lexi. Any recent pics, Sparkle? :)
    Special hugs for always xx
:T for MDW giving blood.. Rhys had about six transfusions but I can't give blood (they don't want mine :o) so I have to applaud those who do instead ;)

Rhys has been fine at Mum's all day. He woke up about 15 mins before I left for work so I got chance for a cuddle, yay! Mum came here because the play specialist was coming round. Rhys almost fell asleep mid play session when she was here and completely zonked out when she left - so Mum did the washing up for entertainment! :rotfl:

Work was a bit boring.. Was clearing out the backlog of stuff and filing for most of the day. All the interesting jobs didn't actually take very long at all  I went for a walk in the end to see my new boss. My office has been cleared and looks fab, total blank canvas. Spoke to one of the guys I'll be working for/with and I'm going to one of his meetings tomorrow to meet some of the others (contractors, not guys we employ so I don't know them already) and to get used to their terminology. He sent me the minutes of the last meeting and it's like a whole new language

Lots to do tonight but we had early tea so at least that's out the way :) Time for more wine, methinks.. ;)

:TFrom me to MDW too :T. I've always given blood three times a year since I was 17, except when I was TTC, pregnant and now since I have had H. I will be going back when he is 9 months though, to help out people just like Rhysy.

Thanks for that link Becles, it made me :rotfl:.

Had yet another lovely day today. I feel like I'm making a habit of it. We went to the zoo with my step sister, two friends and all their littlies. The weather was divine and I am a little bit sunburnt. We walked miles and took a picnic so it was very :money: and also good for the diet.

I always vote- I know it's a cliche but women died so we can vote and that means a lot to me. FWIW I definitely don't see this as a two horse race- in fact as the chance of a hung parliament is a very real one, it's even more than a three horse race really.

I've always voted in the general elections (all two times since I was 16/18, I think!) but not in the local ones since I moved in with OH. Need to find out where the polling station is.. I've got my card so I know the address, just not actually how to get there!

Lovely pic csh.. is that K's "what, of course I can do it?" look? ;) We get that a lot *rolleyes*
PS, was it def snow and not cherry tree blossom? :p

    Welcome Olipops!

I've not been able to give blood for ages - had 2 operations a year apart, then the next time I went to go I was pregnant. Will start again soon.

Aw csh - what a big boy! He's really developing quickly - bless him.

yay for blood! I also used to donate regularly and did plasma (i think u call it platelets here) twice a week my last yr of uni!! I miss doing and hate that now have to wait 9 months :(

Just tried on about 20 things and only just barely managed to pull together something vaguely suitable for my interview tomorrow (!!). It was really depressing and even though i did some cardio today, it really hit home again how much work i need to do to fit into my work clothes again :(
