Night 3 of singing outside Benjamin's door and it is going really well. He still cries when I leave the room but just 2 rounds of Twinkle Twinkle and he has been down since 7.30pm.

Thanks Gisi. I've tried him with avocado which he quite liked but not tried mixing it with other stuff, so will definitely give that a go. The other two were definitely not weaned on avocado though! Not sure I knew what one was 10 years ago . Any other ideas from anyone would be welcomed btw. Just cos I have 3 now doesn't mean I remember how to do stuff

There was a mum at my baby massage class a few weeks ago who had just had her 6 month old baby's ears done, and proceeded to give the whole class instructions as to how to do it, and said she had to get her mum to hold the baby while it was done as she couldn't bear to hear her cry. SO WHY PUT HER THROUGH IT THEN, YOU SILLY BINT!

It's finally happened. I lost Joseph. It was just like you hear people describe it, he was there one second and then he was gone. Puff into thin air. I should say before anyone worries that he only stayed lost for 5 mins or so, but I was on the verge of a breakdown. Sainsbury's carpark, security guard says we'll call the police. He could be under a car or been taken. I was so lucky there was a man standing outside, bless him, who actually saw my darling son running back inside the shop (thought he was with someone else), so the search area was easier. We were about to get all the staff to search the shop when I saw the monkey happy as larry darting in and out of the checkouts. Of course when he saw me he thought it was a great game and ran faster.
I'm offloading this on you guys, because I can't really tell my friends and family, they'll just blame me and I don't need that right now.

Poor you, Agutka. We lost DD when she was 3 in a folk museum in Sweden. One minute she was there, the next she was gone. None of us spoke any swedish, and although the swedes generally speak good english, our DD has speech and language problems and at that time had no speech at all. We eventually found her in a cottage we hadn't even been in beforehand watching someone blow glass. She was gone for a good 15 minutes though and they were some of the most frightening of my life. We also lost her last year when she was 8 and let herself out of our front door just after we moved house. She was brought home by the police that time

Thanks everyone, some stories out there, amazing how adventerous they are.

Glam, it's going terribly, the GD. I'm craving everything I shouldn't and keep giving in, goodness knows what state the babe will be in. But he's a normal size, and they're not in a terrible hurry to get him out. I have corrective insulin and now pre-bed slow acting stuff. Pin cushion. Joseph worries when I dribble over his cheerios :cool:.

I think I've always been at that stage . Or maybe it just feels that way now. Does that make me a slack mummy?

Thanks Sami - I've had a quick look on the Britax website, DH and I like it.

DH likes it for the snack and drink holder.
I like it as it's ISOFIX (our current one isn't as it was bought for a previous car), the price and the range of colours.

Agutka - I lost Josh in a supermarket when he was three. I was packing the bags and he said he was going to look at some plants that were opposite, and then I realised he'd vanished. The lady radioed down to customer services to put a tannoy out, but they said he'd just turned up there, so they'd just hold on to him until I finished packing.

Got to the desk and they were in fits of laughter as apparantly he'd walked up to the desk and announced "hello lady, I'm lost", then proceeded to tell them just about everything about him and us. They knew what I'd had for my breakfast and all sorts :rotfl:

oh yeah Chris loves the cup holder! mine's no isofix though I'd like isofix but couldn't find one that wasn't ridiculously expensive, being mse won out and I regularly get the seats checked :A
