  • MFD - yay for Benjamin almost settling himself, I had to take it stages to get Katie to self settle at about the same age, it was also not without tears.

    Hope Katie gets better soon.

He is a strange little boy! He doesn't want me near him at all (although sometimes if I have left him crying for a few minutes he will grab my hand and put it under his head so I can't escape :rotfl:) but he doesn't want me to leave the room either. I have to leave the room because he never goes to sleep whilst I am still in there (I have sat for over an hour before).

    Ho hum!

    Evening all..

    *hugs* all round :(

Rhys has been a rotter since he woke up from his nap with OH earlier  Only time he's stopped crying since is for milk (which he wouldn't usually have then), his tea, some of OH's chips and then another bottle of milk. Only difference today it that he's been on majority EBM whereas he's had formula for every bottle Sat-Mon  :o

hi glam, MDW, elle and pp

MFD woo hoo for benjamin!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what is your secret song???

Only twinkle twinkle, I just stood outside and sang it while I oh-so-slowly closed the door. As I told you earlier this has been a battle for months now so any progress is progress!! I don't mind sitting outside his door for a bit, I can lurk on here on the landing, I can't in his room!!
In truth I was only there for about 5 mins tonight.

    Any luck your end??

    Evening all,

Sorry to hear babies are still not well. Hope Charlie improves after hospital visit Caz. You must be so worried.

Happy Birthday to Katie for tomorrow.

Glam – sorry you are having problems with Jack’s sleeping. Hope you manage to turn a corner soon. And go to bed and get your OH to do the bottles for a change. And make his own lunch! You are tired and need a break.

Cute pics of Henry, Guy and Amber and I am sure there were others but I can’t remember now!

Jam – Sorry to hear your bad news about redundancy. Hope you get some good advice from ACAS and I agree with Nicki’s comments.

Well done Benjamin for going to sleep better. Hope all other babies follow suit and sleep well tonight!

Hello AF – nice to hear from you.

Sami – I noticed your avatar because it reminds of someone else’s (but not on the PT - maybe Quasar???). I assumed it was Chris’ eye because you mentioned his was dark brown like yours was. I didn’t think we were still commenting on avvies any more as I am sure loads have changed without anyone saying anything! I can’t keep up though.

Memory fading.....can’t think of anything else....

The ebm is more quickly digested than the formula, always has been. He just needs more of it more often on EBM days. I've still been expressing, supply is fine, I've just been freezing it in small portions for his breakfast for a few days.

i always forget twinkle twinkle :D

i agree about the progress. i hold onto it for dear life.

i took LO up early, around 7pm. i changed her and did the usual. i now lay her on the bed and give her her bottle as she goes off very easily like that. no stress. i know it's not some people's ideal but its is the one thing that is working for us.

she usually wakes within the hour to half hour, but i can then just lay her back down, pat her and she'll go back off. she did that tonight, but then after that woke up four times in half an hour. she's hasn't woken since.

test will be around 12.30am and then 4am, which seem to be her times at the minute.

i'm keeping my fingers crossed. i am thinking night terrors or maybe overtired (which is why i took her up earlier tonight)

I kind of meant that if he is happier on formula days then maybe formula may be a full-time option in the future...

Although it isn't that long until he is 1 :T:T

Oh yes, someone posted on HUKD that the next Asda Baby & Toddler event starts a week today (20th April). Don’t think anyone has mentioned it here yet.

And I had a nosey on the Pregnancy thread there and see that Xmas is getting another girl as she wanted, and SuzyWuzy is pregnant again with number 6! Just in case anyone remembers her.
And Kennyjosiah has had her baby and it made me laugh remembering Beenie getting freaked out when she said hello to them and they deleted their post and everyone thought she was going mad lol.

I am not pregnant btw, was just checking on SJ as I didn’t think she had been on for a few days and she had last posted on the PG thread! Stalker like behaviour from me!
  • AF - whatever works has got to be the way forward!

Twinkle twinkle is the only song that I sing in Benjamins room - over and over and over...I usually stop halfway through a verse just to amuse myself :rotfl::o

Off to bed. Goodnight all. xx

We have a very random choice of songs but it's the same every nite since she was very ickle and never any trouble at bedtime, I hear thunder x 2 then twinkle twinkle. Ask her what she is going to tell Katie and Snuggles (bears) about her day. Kiss her goodnight then off she goes to tell them about her days activities. She can worble at them for ages!!

El was askin for num num nice before bed tonite but all she got was water, you feel so cruel not giving them food coz they don't understand why they shouldn't eat. So far so good altho just heard her coughin but she seems to have settled back down, fingers crossed x x
