thanks - seems to be the one thing that grandparents and other mums seem to love to go to me about. bloody weaning. (no-one on here btw, RL friends) and how much their little darling eats and what they eat.

my mum told me yesterday, (i got upset bout it all and rang mum) that even if he takes 2 spoons at a time it all counts. and he will take food when he's ready.

i just get stressed by it all. i start to think that i'm doing something wrong :o

I saw Kian on wednesday & he just wasn't interested in it. It's nothing you've done wrong :grouphug:
He'll get there when he's ready & then there will be no stopping him!

The only thing you are doing wrong is listening to others!!

I had a friend went on and on and on at me about weaning mine, in the end I said just because she rammed chocolate pudding downthe neck of her 2 months old baby doesn't mean that is right for everyone.. soon shut her up!

I've been on the minipill (Micronor) for about six years, apart from coming off it to TTC Rhys, obviously! Went back on it four weeks after Rhys was born. Never had any trouble on it at all and average of one period a year :D Can't tell where I am in my cycle, no sore bits or mood swings :) Was on the combined pill for four years before that, about five different types in that time and they all gave me some bad side effect or other (apart from Dianette which the GP wouldn't let me stay on for over six months but it did clear up my skin though :)).

OH is having fun at work. Some not-very-bright engineer decided to flick a switch before the fire sprinkler system was switched off and now they're knee deep in foam! :rotfl:

Just to add - C will jam (no pun inteneded on her ma's username!) her mouth shut after about 3 spoons of anything and point blank refuse. This concerned me a bit until I found..... Give her something to hold (from toast to omlette to veggies) and she'll try and ram it in and won't let go til it's all gone. Also, if I break up bits of eg chicken into tiny bits she'll open her mouth like a baby bird!

I was also a bit bothered that she won't have eg fromage frais but, like others have siad, I'm not gonna worry til she'll one. She still has lots of milk from me so she getting what she needs - even though family all keep saying I should be stopping BF-ing her now. They can booger off :D.

I always fancied BLW when I read about it and it seems C has read my mind. lol Please don't tell anyone my 6 and a half month old had 3 kfc chips and some of their chicken on Fri but won't open her mouth for a spoon :D

PS The spoon thing includes a syringe so getting meds into her when ness is a nightmare!!

Like everything else, K was sitting long before C, C still can't roll from front to back, they'll do it all in thier own time

Hugs to all and enjoy the sunshine. Got my SDD up this week but will still be lurking xxx

Oh and my bessie mate told me last night she is 17 weeeks pg :j:j:j After a MC in August, I am sooooooo pleased for her and dead excited!!! xxx

Sorry, turned into a long one :p

i had the depo for 7 years and although i put weight on (not sure if it was that or the desk job that did it) i was period free for 6 1/2 years - bliss. thought it did take 18 months to get out of my system and a further 6 months before i fell pg with Kian.

was on cilest before that and had no problems at all.

now on cerazette and have had 5 days period since beginning nov.

    i;ve been lucky i guess
its trial and error and wahts suits one person wont suit another

I had the implant and loved it! One benefit is the second it's out of your body, you can TTC whereas I think the pill can take months :D. Someone people get no periods on it - I got random ones, but they were never mega-heavy (always light to medium). Doesn't even really hurt to go in or get taken out, promise.

How exciting Jam - my Very Best Friend is also pregnant but a bit earlier than yours and I am thrilled. I want her to have a boy so he and Molly can get married and we can double-team them about having a lot of grandchildren :rotfl:

I wouldn't worry about chips either, Molly gets oven chips to play with when we have them and other bits of stuff (toast, strips of pepper, cucumber chunks and such like) but also gets chunks of steak to gum dry and white. She may or may not have had some of my ice cream yesterday.... and may or may not have thrown a big tantrum for more and more and more.
