Morning....
Why am I up? Oh yeah because my silly children refuse to stay in bed, EVER!!! I should have sent them all back to bed when they got up at 6.30am, it's the weekend !!!!!! I am tired and grumpy and they have all had an earfull about WHY they feel the need to get up at this stupid hour on the WEEKEND.
Have been mad busy sorting out cars etc so haven't had a chance to get on really. Well new car is fab (if you ignore my car park incident) and the old car is all shiny and is advertised for sale, so hopefully won't take to long to sell.
Very pleased with J, he has moved up to the third colour from the top, in reading books, in the infants.....excellent since he has dyslexia. He still has a few problems with his writing but it is greatly improved.
What day is TC meet, although I probably have an appt of some kind, as I seem to have one almost every day next week as well as gymbabes and I need to go into town at some point to get K a card, wrapping paper, cake and party food...

Ignore the catty comments on the MS thread at the moment. It's not usually that nasty, and I suspect we have visitors from another site adding fuel to the fire
Kindof - thinking of you and hoping things start happening and go well today xx
Off to uni this morning for a tutorial. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Contractions - mine were every two minutes and lasting about 1m30 to 1m45 before I went to hospital but then slowed down after I got there.
That's pretty much the only thing I use it for. I used to hate the worktop in our old house because it was tiled.Magic stuff. I can't abide any mouldy bits in my bathroom, or grubby grout. Have been known to use neat thick bleach and a toothbrush to make my grout look new again. If the seal dared to go grubby I'd make OH replace it!

Sorry, I didn't mean to diminish what you did with Christopher.Susan just because I'm a pedant; I did BF Chris but not for long, he was fully FF by 2weeks

Morning all
Those of you with toddlers+, when you changed to a toddler bed and therefore they could roam their room, how far did you go in safety-proofing the room?
I think we're going IKEAing on Sunday for a bed for Elijah. Right now his room has an oil-filled radiator, a chair, wipes and creams for nappy-changing, etc - if he was loose in his room with the door closed at night he could potentially do all kinds of wild things in there if he had a mind to! Not sure how much is realistic to fix so gah!
Cousin's wedding today - at the last minute discretion has proved the better part of valour and I am going to the church alone, OH and the boy will join for the reception. An hour in church being quiet-ish would be hard enough at the best of times but it's also squarely in the middle of his nap time!
Elijah has many alphabet blocks, and recognises and can name most numbers and letters now. Not sure how much he grasps the differences etc, but he loves to name them. If we ever pass a road sign at his height for example, he always has to stop and point at letter by letter naming them, or waiting for me to when he's not sure
He also loves written words - one of his new things is to drag my finger to point at the words in any of his books, and I have to read them out while moving my finger along, then he tries to repeat.
I multi-quoted bunches of people last night but it had all vanished this morning
did someone really say that if you'd had sex before marriage, you couldn't 'marry before God'? That's the kind of belief I think individuals are of course welcome to hold, but as a blanket view of the world and people's behaviour it can't be very enjoyable! 0
