that is sooooo funny my nephew has just stayed with us for a week and we nicknamed him Willie Wonker for that exact reason :rotfl:

We tried the vari flows once lol and it seems to take him like 2 hours to feed, so we decided to stick to the 2's, so can I use the 2's on this comfort milk then?

Are you giving it straight from the fridge? I'd imagine chilled milk would sit heavy in a newborns stomach.

No he doesnt get it from the fridge, we boil the kettle, then wait half an hour for it to cool (like the box said) and put the required water in the bottle, then the bottles sit on the bench (with their teats and lids on) then when he wants a bottle we add the powder to the cooled water, but its room temp cool not fridge cool?

Do you still think I should try heating them? if so how long to they need heating for? if I did it in the microwave (I know you arent supposed to do that)

EA Seth loves the Blue Reef! We first took him when he was 3-4 months old and he was mesmerised. The CM took him a few weeks ago and he loved it then too. Wouldnt bother taking Lily yet though, unless you want to go for yourself it would be a waste cos she is so young!

And now I really need to go poop but OH has emerged and is in the bl00dy bathroom for about 10 minutes, lush! Really dont wannt know what he's doing in there, either way it cant be good though!.

i would put it all in the basket under the pram then! i do this in most shops and get funny looks but just smile back

MFD we do a bit of both by ignoring and distraction but sometimes she just needs to be left, she will usually get up and then find a toy for me! her latest is soft things as she loves to cuddle them, i bought her super soft fleecy pjs and i couldnt put them on her as she wouldnt let go!

What's your pram handle like? I take the SX, which has one bar handle, and the asda baskets sit perfectly in the handle.
Although I have noticed in our Asda, a bit of a pram park outside the toilets where i'm assuming people have walked to Asda, parked up the pram and put baby into the trolley to shop? I'm not sure i'd leave my precious pram there though.

Boys are just vile aren't they! And they don't get any better. OH is always telling J to get his hands out of his pants, then five minutes later, OH is sat there doing the same.

I agree, try warming it just above room temp for a few days to see if it makes any difference. You can still make the bottles of water up as you are doing, but 1oz less. Then at bottle time boil the kettle and add 1oz of boiling water to heat it (I do this in the morning, it's the only one she likes to be warm and if she wants a bottle at night).

Obviously test it top make sure it's not too warm.

LOL I probs will do that and just smile sweetly at anyone who looks at me lol

3onitsway - Its a graco, a big long handle so I dont think the basket will go over it, no I deffo wouldnt want to leave my pram lol it would get nikced lol

tia - thats a good idea, then the milk will be just warm enough, just need to get him not to scream before while we wait for kettle lol

Does anyone know anything about bank holiday entitlements? OH had a sick note for last week and the week before, then this week he is taking a week paternity.

So he rang his boss to say as it was bank holiday monday then he will be back on tuesday next week as he has 5 days paternity to have and technically only took 4, his boss said that was fine. But I was just thinking this morning that obv good friday was a bank holiday is he entitled to that day off as he was on a sick note, or is it lost?

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR MY OH has been waiting for a package from america and its been stuck in customs for ages, and it cleared customes yesterday and I just checked on the status and it now says

Attempted Delivery Abroad, April 09, 2010, 6:49 am, GREAT BRITAIN

Did they !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and if they did there is no card to say so, I am well annoyed

I would have been well !!!!ed mind if they had come that time of the morning!

I always use the buggy shopping bag in Lidl and then just plonk the bag on the checkout so they know I am putting everything through. You could do the same with a cloth shopping bag.


Off to site - got a site with 'cultural issues' that they want me to investigate (ie - find out who is not getting on and bang their heads together) and then a performance review meeting (ie a b!tching session) - what a Friday afternoon!!

I'm off for a snooze or more :coffee: I'm more tired with a full nights sleep than with broken sleep! Although, Amber woke up for a cuddle last night and I sneaked her in bed with me for 10mins, she curled up and went to sleep and I miss her sleeping in with me. She's so cute all curled up on her side, with her wee mouth hanging open!
