Before 1st April you wouldn't have known what u had earnt as you were still earning for that year so they use the year before as a guide. OH is on 6K less from November and I have been on mat leave since August but I don't expect to get much more.
Gonna wait til P60's are in then phone them and hope for a little something!

I need to sit down and sort out TCs again now that we've gotten our award through...and figure out how it works with my mat leave (which is enhanced but not forever) and see if DH's income went down last year (major PITA because he had 3 different jobs and not all gave him a P45!).

eerrr I feel like I had something useful to say but now have forgotten it.

because it is too 'high' for my living room and would get on my nerves standing there all untidy looking All my furniture is 'low' and I have no free standing shelves or anything IYKWIM? Although I may just have to give in to my OCD

I'm just really looking for something for him to chill out in for a bit. He loves lounging in his sit me up cosy but its too small now so he just stretches right out it.

Kindof - sorry to hear you had a rubbish sleep x We have a fisher price projector that's fab as you have a choice of music, light show and the length of time it plays. Had a quick squiz in the tesco direct catalogue and there is something similar in there, i think ours is possibly an older model now as we got it when I was 8 weeks pg! Would post a link but don't know how or if it's poss on my iPod!

EA - am sure your not rubbish at settling Lily, maybe she is windy! I find T hard to settle too when she is.

Sj - my pump is the avent too, not impressed may try contacting them or take the pump to bf clinic with me.

Got a very hungry baby ATM been feeding her for ages now!

I couldn't really hear the girl on the phone so didn't understand much of what she was saying.

She said something about going to get my P60 from my local tax office? I dont even know where that would be.
Might have to ask the Jobcentre where it is. Unless its in the job centre.

Som, i tried winding her. She didn't burp much last night so i thought it would be. But she finds being winded relaxing and when i was winding her she promptly fell asleep on my shoulder.
She is asleep now but usually has her bottle about now. I dont want to wake her though lol

Morning everyone,

My perfect baby has now joined the Wide Awake Club during the night. Was up 4 times last night. Don’t think it’s hunger, and popping her dummy in seemed to settle her as she closed her eyes straight away, but an hour later was awake again and all excitable. Not crying, just babbling away. Ended up taking her into the spare room again. Probably not a habit I should get into but thought it was better than OH being kept awake if I left her to babble through the monitor!

EA – It does sound like it could be wind with Lily – Holly had and still does have difficulty in passing wind, so even though she always burped fine after a feed, it’s the other end that was the problem. It not as bad now, but sometimes she still screams in her sleep and it’s occasionally followed by a trump, so I know it’s sore for her to pass wind. When colic was suggested at first, I thought it can’t be, because she does burp, but turns out it was the passing of wind, not the bringing it up. Might not be the case for Lily, but just in case you hadn’t considered it.

KOAG – If you are going to try different milks or colic remedies on Elliot, you need to give them time to see if they work. Changing to Aptimil for 1 day, won’t get rid of the problem straight away. You would need to do it for at least a week to see if it has any effect. Colic remedies are hit and miss, so what’s good for one baby is different to what’s good for another. If you buy one, make sure you give it time to see if it helps, and if not, try another. Baby massage should help his digestive system too.

If you want to start a routine, do what fits in with your life as everyone is different. Up until the past week, Holly has always slept through the night, but at the start that involved bringing her to bed when we were going and she just dosed in the living room on and off until then. I personally preferred to allow her to stay up later with us and sleep through until 8am – that’s better than putting her to bed earlier with night time wakenings for me. I think that at such a young age, a routine should be more of a pattern/sequence of events, than setting strict feeding times though – but that’s just my opinion.
