I got K's passport photos last week and they're getting signed tomorrow, just need to wait for my new bank card to some so I can send it off!!

I managed to sell my car boot job lot on Gumtree but I kept a few bigger bits to sell.
Anyone know of a cheap reliable courier??

    And while I remember
Anyone had their Pumpkin patch order yet?? I have no patience!

Glad Katie is feeling better, and little David is no longer being aggrevated by his skin.

Anyone use Goodnight milk? Is it the same to follow on milk as hungry baby is to stage 1 formula IYKWIM?

Theres something else but I cannae mind......

Just tried to book Idris' driving test, went onto some website that wasn't the DSA but still the same? They wanted £105  GOOD ONE!!

Earliest app he could get was June 15th. That's his own fault, he should of booked it months ago, but no no, has to wait until muggins me does it for him.

Are you going to tell him when it is?

My BIL failed 6 times due to nerves, so in the end the driving instructor booked it (his mum paid) and just announced one lesson 'test time!', he passed because he didn't have time to get nervous.

I'm so awesome that I passed first time :D Though I have a wee suspicion that I really just blew him off and forgot about it...

The systems are woefully inadequate in general...and a case such as yours would need an experienced Benefits Officer to work on it...potentially for days at a time (these things aren't as easy as they seem) but they are there nonetheless and I hate the idea that there are millions and millions of pounds going unclaimed because people are distrustful of the system / find it to be too much hard work as much as I hate the millions and millions of pounds that gets claimed fraudulently each year.
What concerns me is all the people who aren't as belligerant and articulate as me who get diddled by the system. That was the main reason I made such a fuss when they stopped our benefit without telling us - we were okay because we had enough savings to ensure that cashflow wasn't an issue but a lot of people on those benefits probably don't have any kind of buffer. (And I would agree that ours was a particularly complicated case.)
It is just a sad state of affairs - the money doesn't go anywhere more deserving if it doesn't come to you, the government use it to pay bankers bonuses ;)
    :rotfl: But you're probably right.

Cheese - Alice would eat cheese till it came out of her ears given half a chance. Brie is her favourite. (Which is good when you keep picking it up reduced in the Coop at £2.45/kg.)

Yeah lol Tia, I told him and he's moaning about it not being within 6 weeks, but hey, you get what your given, if he is that bothered he can go invent a time machine and go back 2 months ago when his instructor told him to book it in the first place!
